If racism isn't systemic how do explain the study I described?
You need to get some of that hate out of your heart. You are blaming Obama for this strike at Missouri, unbelievable.
My Bible teaches Christ is about love not hate. I am sure your Catholic Bible teaches the same thing. Your Pope definitely teaches love.
How can one be a devout Catholic as you portray yourself to be and live with that much hate in their heart for anyone with a D beside their name?
It's embarrassing and disgraceful that so many are putting football above social issues. Everyone likes to pretend I'm the angry VN member simply because I disagree with people, but I sincerely hope you aren't so clueless as to fire Pinkel or throw scholarships away because students are standing up for what they perceive as right.
If for whatever reason this isn't resolved by the end of the week Mizzou would have to pay BYU $1M. To these players' credit, nothing gets people listening faster than messing with their SEC football money. Expect the donors and football boosters to have Wolfe pushed out of office either today or tomorrow.
If Mizzou doesn't field a team the rest of the season, Tennessee would be awarded a 1-0 win.
for one, systematic and systemic are not the same thing. Secondly, I've heard of this study. It was done in one city if I remember correctly and didn't exactly have a representative sample size. At worst it showed there might be systematic oppression in that city. At best, it showed some people who were racist.
Hope for the day we are all color blind: black, white, yellow, and purple.
I agree. I think several of the wars we've declared have been counterproductive and a gross negative to minorities and poor people in general.
The War on Drugs...
The War on Poverty...
I seriously think that if we instead declared a War on Uneducation, a lot of problems would start to clear up. And with the current socialist state of our Universities, I think a War on Bad Education would probably help too.
What about all the war white people support?
You can. You don't have to. Pinkel's #1 priority is the betterment of the student athletes under him. He's knocking his job out of the park.
The war on Poverty?
"Betterment of the student athletes" is what landed him a multimillion contract? If so, Gerry Faust would have died as an active Notre Dame coach. He can show support AND do his job ...he's choosing to grandstand. Should be fired for his choice.
On their own people? Black people want their own culture. What don't you get about that? The girl from Hunger games was b*tching about Kylie Jenner and other white people stealing cornrows from black people. Like seriously, who gives a s***t. I don't and if that's one issue black people have with white people, you're already headed down one privileged path and also, that's racist. Seems pretty privileged that black people have it so easy these days they're crying about white people who have hair like them or dress like them. For Us By Us... right? The Michigan players called Duke players uncle toms. The rapist Bill Cosby had it right. To make white people the problem, first black people have to fix their own culture. I think he referred to it as dirty laundry. Kids who can't speak properly and wearing their pants around their knees. Acting like little dicks who have no future. For the record, I've seen probably a hundred videos of the knockout game, every single one was black on white. Black people can't be racist though, or so I'm told.
Anyways, every time black people have been allowed their own culture and city like Detroit, Baltimore, Chicago etc. look what happened. They ban guns in Chicago and there are more shootings than ever and it's mostly black people doing it. Same with rioting, looting and destroying the city. This is absolutely a culture problem and whites going to wars with other countries isn't the same as black people killing their fellow Americans and while wanting more, more, more. I to this day don't know what white men have that that black people don't other than being accused of being racist for not taking their side. And for that, I no longer care about anything feminists, black lives matter, bglt, muslims etc. have to say on any subject. I have this to say to all those racist and sexist group.

Call me racist and misogynist, I don't care anymore how I come off because none of these groups do. If they did, they wouldn't burn down Ferguson and Baltimore. Then you've got feminists with no life complaining about GTA 5 and black people wanting some president fired over nothing he did. It's too much, white men need to stand up and tell them all to figure it the f*** out and stop blaming us. I didn't do crap to anyone and acting like I'm part of the problem has done nothing but make me resent all of these cry babies. I literally used to sit in the middle politically but leaned democrat. All I can say now is, I hope that party is destroyed if they're going to keep pumping out people who cry their way to the top. I bet one of the highest paying jobs these days is starting gofund me pages while begging for money on the internet. The new America. Why do stuff when you can ask others for it and the government is going to give it to you anyways? I never once felt right getting help from the government but if they're gonna help anyone, why not take the extra help. The pot will run out anyways, might as well dip your hand in there and get ya some.
And here's the Cosby article. No wonder he got away with rape for so long. He's actually fairly intelligent. Beats going on a hunger strike. Is that person dead yet? *shrug*

You can. " stand " and still do your job...usually happens when you HAVE to.
BYU's already released a statement saying they won't demand the million.
But I do know this: the rapidity with which the issue has grown, spread not only through the student population but to the faculty and staff as well, and to the football coaching staff and the AD's office ... social protest doesn't spread that fast unless there's something, some issue or behavior that is concrete and understandable to the folks who started out neutral on the issue.
Well I honestly don't know the whole story of what is going on there. Maybe I would think different if I did. I'm just saying him losing his life due to ignorance hurts much harder for his family and friends.
