Idk that that's a fair assumption at all. Some people get stuck in a lie, some are just messed up people, sometimes the state proceeds against their wishes.
Everyone is innocent until proven guilty, but a woman has to put herself through hell to go through a trial like that.. IMO, the average person would only do that if they were really raped, especially one as high profile in Knoxville as this will be.
Tawana Brawley The Grand Jury declared a No
True Bill in this instance, so no trial. Maybe Tawana was not an "average person".
My daughter worked at the rape crisis center, and I can tell you that games are played by women for various reasons.
AJ has told his side of the story to whatever limit he set on it with his attorney at this side. The GJ does not indict minus the accused's side of the story as well as evidence in the case.
This is true but I'm talking about the average female... There is a lot of rape going on at college campuses that never get reported because it is he said/she said and females have to go through hell to prove it.
I actually watched the Vandy player Dr. Phill show. The kid was likeable/smart and came from an outstanding family. That said, what he did to that girl was horrifying. If there hadn't been a tape of the incident, you would never believe he was such a monster..(Peer pressure and drinking was the defense)
We have been looking around that area. Everything is about three to four times more expensive in terms of housing but we have found some good looking places for a reasonable price. Now we just have to figure out the school situation for our girls. I am grateful to those like your uncle who served before me and kept our nation free through some terrible times.
To recap from the police report, police interviews and news reports:
The alleged victim voluntarily comes to a party at AJ's apartment and voluntarily goes upstairs with him in front of a room full of people.
There are no screams or disruption during the party. No indication of an alleged rape or assault taking place upstairs.
She comes downstairs later. Partygoers are still there. She says nothing about being raped. She leaves voluntarily. No one detains her.
According to the police report, she has no visible injuries and neither drugs nor force were involved. There are no outward signs of abuse.
There are neighbors outside AJ's apartment. There are people in the parking lot. Multiple parties are going on at the complex before, during and after her departure. Dozens of people are around. She told no one she was raped. She asks no one for assistance.
Allegedly, she has had consensual sex with AJ before.
There are many victims in a case like this, and it seldom ends well for anyone except the attorneys.
Prediction.
Dillon Bates will start at MLB.
Here's a quote from DC Jancek on Bates.
QUOTE:
He's back," Jancek said. "He's in the weight room. He's doing everything. He's been cleared for all of that. I anticipate him being full go for the spring and really getting an opportunity to solidify a position on our defense."
Jancek said he isn't concerned about position with Bates, whether he plays middle or outside linebacker, mostly because defense against spread offenses requires all three linebackers to be able to play in space, and therefore there is only so much physical difference in the requirements for the position. He said he's simply trying to get his best 11 on the field.

Where does Williams fit in this?
All things considered, I'd rather be the attorney than the accused or the accuser. Getting a payday is the most desirable outcome in this sordid little scenario.
I'm sorry, but this is false. Very, very rarely is a criminal defendant or his/her attorney present at Grand Jury proceedings.
And, in this case, it was "presented" to the grand jury, which will likely not allow the defense to cross examine witnesses at a preliminary hearing in general sessions court, as most felony charges would allow.
I'll try not to comment further, but I know David Eldridge, Tom Dillard and Steve Johnson will represent their clients to the absolute best of their abilities. They are top notch men and advocates.
I know this is easy for me to say but his best play if he was falsely accused would be to publicly forgive her and move on.
I believe, from a PR standpoint, that would say a lot about him and might resurrect his status in the league.
