I already have. But I'll give a specific instance just for you. Let's pretend DeBord is hired early this week at some point. If you don't think Saban and Kiffin will begin working some recruits with lines about how the game has passed DeBord by, how DeBord is out of touch with today's players and that DeBord isn't equipped to run an offense suitable for that recruit, you are blind. It will happen during the press conference announcing the DeBord hire.

It s not hostile. You asked a question that no one on this board can answer and a question that will possibly never be answered correctly. Even on Michigan's board. We could speculate for hours. The possible reasons for not hiring him at UT posted throughout Volnation maybe the reasons Michigan did not to hire him. But it really does not matter if UT hires him does it? Better yet their maybe zero connection between him and Harbaugh where there is a connection between him and Jones.

There are only so many defensive schemes and styles while there are many sub schemes off the main schemes in college football. I trust Butch knows what he's doing but he also needs to be weary before making a decision like this. Not a pretty hire at all.

Keep in mind some of the same people that are already defending a possible Debord hire said Dooley was the guy and also thought Sal was a good hire.

Well thats not how we work here at UT, which is what butch has said multiple times. At a place like Alabama or Tennessee, you don't need to negative recruit. You are one of the top notch programs in the country in the best conference. Thats a Vandy move, but if Bama does it then so be it, but they can get all the players they want without mentioning UT. If you don't want to play here there are plenty of VERY talented football players that do.

This is a stupid argument though, just trust Butch and judge the hire after you see things actually play out.

Bottom line: I do trust CBJ to dobyou what he feels is best for the program in his hires. He has earned it and I respect his decision. After all, he is the coach.

"Butch Please" no not that type of fan, sounds desperate like a kid begging for a cookie or a teenager begging for a piece of pie.

Butch Gets It, That lasted about as long as the first slogan, I guess he does get it for some, to me the Jury is still out and it is TBD. Based on what I have seen the first two years no reason to believe he doesn't get it.

He's proven to be good at two things so far. Slogans and recruiting. At some point it will come down to whether he can coach.

This year provides a good test of that.

Don't tell me to blindly follow a man with one signature win here and a lot of question marks in big games. And if you really believe our staff doesn't diss other programs while on the recruiting trail, I just laugh.

First of all, no one said Dooley was THE GUY. The consensus was he was a nice guy who everyone liked and hoped he one day worked out. Sal, on the other hand, obviously is a good football coach, seeing what he has done since he left here. The problem was switching to a 3-4 with NO SPEED. While a lot of that blame is obviously on Sal, Dooley takes most of it IMO since he decided to hire Sal to switch up the defense to not fit any of our players. But either way, not one said Dooley was a home run or anything of the sort.

Look, I have confidence in Butch too, but the confidence I have is that I know he is smart enough to not hire someone like Debord. I'm still holding out.

Ok laugh away then buddy. And don't come back supporting Butch when were one of the top programs again. If you want to run a football program go become a coach. If you want to be a fan listen to your coach that took your program out of the dumpster.

Look at it this way, maybe Debord is coming in as OL coach

He spent almost 11 years as an OL coach before moving up to OC

He's only had 3 years combined as an OC

He is doing the right thing and its coming together like you say we will see the next 2 years.

RockyTop22 would say give the pile of crap a chance, Butch knows what he is doing. The crap will be the best OC in the SEC.
