Butch isn't going anywhere any time soon. He knows Tennessee is no stepping stone. Can we get over the battered fan syndrome that Kiffin started any time soon?
The only evidence to why he would go to Michigan is the fact he is from there. Also Butch hasn't done anything on the field yet to get a ton of interest from Michigan. They want results soon and Butch isn't going to do that immediately. Idk just interesting
If Butch cares about championships, which I assume he does, he will stay put. UT is closer to a title than Michigan. From the outside looking in, he really does look like he believes in what he is teaching VFL
Who cares honestly at this point. UT football will be fine if he stays or goes. He would be a dumb A for letting this go on for a long time though considering it could impact his recruiting efforts. Any coach that does not respond to these types of rumors is usually looking for another job imo....If Butch wants to be the next General Neyland then he needs to say he is here to stay for the long haul. To be honest, he has done nothing at this point on the field to deserve a raise. Wins and losses bro, wins and losses.
"Butch Jones is interested in the position." Yep and Nick Saban is going to Texas.lol:
lol:

Why do you post this same BS in multiple threads? Butch is from MI, played in MI, coached in MI, his wife is from MI Mahoney is from MI, Jancek is from MI, Elder is from MI, Azzani is from MI, played in MI, coached in MI. It's not even close to the same scenario as Saban to Texas.
One makes sense, whether it comes to fruition or not. Saban to TX didn't make any sense other than from a potential money standpoint.
I thought UT should have went after him when they hired Dooley.
He would be an idiot for saying he is not interested in taking any other jobs, open or not?
You will see. UM will hire another coach and these posts about CBJ considering the UM job will look just as stupid as the Saban to Texas deal.
If I were somehow proven wrong, then I will freely admit my idiocy on the matter.
He's a Mormon, played for BYU and has been at Utah for 20 yrs he's not leaving on his own accord. I don't know why people think that everyone is interested in leaving a job just because X pays more or is more tradition. There's something to be said for enjoying where you live and enjoying who you work with/for.
For example, I don't think there's any amount of money that could make me move to California. I have family and friends close by, I love the weather of TN, I love the scenery, the people etc. that stuff isn't worth giving up for money.
