A New Hampshire Democrat lawmaker is speaking out against a bill that restricts what people can buy with government entitlement funds, saying booze, tobacco, lottery tickets and even guns should be permitted.

“It’s not up to me to make that choice for people,” Horrigan told FoxNews.com. “I’m not saying that they should be allowed to use their benefits to buy up an arsenal, but they have a right to purchase guns for hunting or self-defense. If you or I have those rights, then they should as well. It’s not my place to tell them what to do.”

That's ridiculous. A firearm requires ammunition to function therefore it is logical to conclude that owning ammunition is just as much constitutionally protected as the firearm it shoots out if

"Was" might be the operant word. "Was" before he committed armed robbery. "Was" before he got shot dead. But I know what you're saying. There was some guy out in Cali who was victimizing an old lady with burglaries. The lady got a relative to stay with her, and he shot the two burglars dead the next time. The burglar's girlfriend said he was a good guy who was misunderstood. Same attitude.

Sounds like they are not rules (gun ban) but requests (please don't but you aren't breaking the law if you do).

I have no problem with those who want to open carry. But at least keep it freaking reasonable. A pistol, sure. But those morons caused more damage to the 2A fight than they helped. How long before Bloomberg, Feinstein, Schumer, et al and their ilk get a hold of this and classify ALL gun owners as being irresponsible and ignorant as these two idiots?
