Worley done? (Rumor)

There is probably a Doctor in Atl that specializes in this type of surgery.

Have you ever heard of Dr James Andrews?? He is the "go to Guy" for ACL surgery. Doesn't matter where you live, If you can afford his services & get to his office, you will be in good hands. He is the BEST.

Exactly..

I call BS aI played QB for 4 years, I have hit helmets a few times, it's your thumb knuckle that hits, it is a VERY BAD bruise. I learned to get out of a collapsing pocket..:salute:

How do you think Bray broke his? He hit a UGA players helmet. Yes it does happen. And Worley was tackled and landed on it as well.

I'm hearing Worley was at practice today, no cast, but taped up thumb. Can't divulge source but it's better than girlfriends friend in supply chain class.

God the rumors. I can't do them anymore since all the "insider info" we had during the coaching search. Someone come up with something concrete.

An ACL surgery is a cakewalk compared to the skill it takes to repair a MCL or UCL tear. Far too much can go wrong in the hand and for an athlete everything matters. This is potentially VERY serious both as an athlete and as a regular able-bodied person. As far as being able-bodied, the surgeons should have few issues but being an athlete at this level there's a much higher risk in terms of regaining full grip, velocity, mobility and of course being a QB makes it all the more important for the surgery to be perfect. You and I can handle a 80-90% successful surgery on these tendons without missing a beat. Hell, we can likely handle a 75% success without really noticing it. The same isn't true for Worley.

Whatever is going on -- if surgery is indeed what's needed wish his doctors perfection and Worley grace -- lord knows he deserves a break.

The following is from a poster on VQ. TIFWIW. Siap.

"Worley Done For Season

Don't shoot the messenger. I've never claimed to be an insider or any of that.

His girlfriend is in my best friends supply chain class group and told him that Justin tore the ligaments on his thumb and will be in a hard cast for 4 weeks after his surgery in Atlanta tonight or tomorrow."

P.S. I'm not associated with the above info. I'm simply passing along info that was posted.

IF this is true, then I hate that the young man is injured that badly and I wish him a speedy recovery. Having said that, it should not be impacting the team anyway, because his role should be strictly a backup or 3rd team role from this point forward in his career. He is just not quite good enough to play at this level of college football.

Kind of pathetic someone liked that. I mean like Worley or not it's still a dude's career and he won us the USCe game. I was a vocal critic at one point but pre-injury he had elevated his game.

Well said stranger.:hi:

Like I said earlier.I got to talk to someone in Worleys family today and they told me that he tore ligaments. He was having surgery but they didn't say where he was having surgery at.

This is why he would/need to go to a Specialists. I agree major stuff. :good!:

My Dad cut his tendon in his arm about 7 years ago. He was out of commission for 18 months & doesn't have full motion of his hand back. Probably will never get it all back.

I wish Worley good luck & speedy recovery.

I really mean no offense to you whatsoever, and I know you have the best of intentions. Just that a little less than a year ago there were a lot of people that "knew" what was going on.

I just want to be cautious and not buy into anything until it comes directly from CBJ or a team press release.

Kind of a once bitten, twice shy sort of deal.
