Stayed in SF for the CAL game several years ago. Still cannot believe I took the subway UNDER the Bay to Berkeley in the earthquake capital of the US. It is sure a great vacation spot, if we play there again, book it.

Utah and Nevada are more earthquake prone

What are you talking about?...It IS beautiful there!...Nice weather year round and sunshine...No snow or brutal cold winters and the night life is amazing...You sir have no clue what you are talking about.

I consider Miami to be year round nice weather besides the rain. But hey, I guess most people love 60 degrees, to me its too cold.

Same for this area if you like being bombarded w/ right wing crap. It's everywhere. There are some good places to live in Cali that are nice and the cost isn't any more than here overall. Just depends where you're looking.

Any public college town is a liberal place. You are out of touch with reality. California is a garbage state in absolute shambles. Im not talking about cost of living, Im talking about astronomical taxes.

Not out of touch with anything. I've lived in several different areas there. I didn't see these astronomical taxes you speak of. I did see much lower grocery prices w/ none or very little taxes. I lived in nice areas cheaper than I could in Knoxville. General cost of living for me was always cheaper. Wages are higher on comparable jobs. Hell, Mickey Dee's was paying $10.50 an hour to start 15 years ago. Just a few bits of fodder. Just depends on where you choose to live there as it does most places.

Well if you don't make and spend much money you wont be paying much taxes anywhere. Doesn't change the fact that California is 2nd worst in tax-burden and cost-of-livng

Cost of living in Oakland is 153% of what it is in Knoxville, 183% in San Francisco. Top marginal tax rate in CA is 13.3% compared to 0% in TN.

I wouldn't want to live there and especially wouldn't want to raise a family there. It looks nice on the outside...for awhile. In reality it's just a small step up from Oakland and at night Oakland and Berkeley are about the same.

Good grief...Knoxville looks pretty nice until you go to Fountain City! Every city has good and bad areas.

I love the Bay Area, San Francisco is one of the great cities in the world. However, I cannot imagine the costs of living in that area. One thing is a certainty $1.8m here goes a heck of a lot further than $1.8m in that area. But, to each their own. Good luck CCM. I look forward to seeing who our new coach will be and in supporting the VOLS!

Uh that's about as accurate as saying living in Knoxville means being inundated with right wing backwards-ass scary talk, double-wide trailers and jorts all year...wait ...maybe..

That's why Berkeley is referred to as the Socialist Republic of Berkeley.

This coming from a man who chooses to live in the most corrupt, backward, and crime-ridden community in the nation.

When Knoxville elects a convicted felon and crack addict for public office multiple times, then get back to us.

Take a trip to Anacostia sometime before taking your shots at Knoxville again, genius.
