There are 31 other NFL teams who would do anything to have Belichick and Brady leading their team. The Pats have run roughshod over the rest of the league for 15 years, a stretch of unparalleled dominance. Haters gonna hate.

Does anybody actually believe this was the only game the Pats used deflated footballs? Hopefully people are not that naive. The Colts reported it to the league after their November game with them. The point is the deflation helped the QB of the home team in not only the game in question, but quite possibly in many other games through the years. How's that for a legacy?

There will be some silly excuses with some toothless penalty after the season. There doesn't have to be a smoking gun confession. All game footballs were left in the control of the Pats' organization after being checked by the officials. The Colts' footballs were in compliance. The Pats' were not. The corruption in the NFL is ridiculous with the Pats learning the charge. It is sad because the Pats do not need to cheat to win.

I have a lot of varying opinions, haven't made up my mind on this one. Right now, I'm thinking this wasn't considered a big deal to refs or the NFL. They made the rule change in 2006 among a bunch of other rule changes that encourage points to be scored. The refs might or might not even care if outside the range, maybe a good enough for gov't attitude about this.
