Ralph can say what he wants but this team just doesn't hit and looks as if they did nothing during the Off season to improve.

The whole team has actually regressed since last season

Ayala only one hit in 16 at bats. She was a .615 hitter one season in high school looks like another northern player that will have to adjust to the higher level.
Were depending on Seggern, Lockman, and sometimes McClain to be our big hitters in the middle of the lineup so far they have done a decent job. I am afraid SEC pitching may give us some problems.
I think McClain has improved still waiting for Leach to break out.

That is false...if that was the case we don't win half those games in AZ....nice try though with the negative comments

The loss to FAU wasn't bad they're not a bad team...will finish in the top 5 of conference USA....Kelsey Morrison yeah that one probably gave her new team a lot of inside info to use as she was with the LV for two years....She knew a lot about the players....A bad loss would be #1 Oklahoma losing to Boston University 4-3

I see early season hitting improvement in Lockman and Seggern....hopefully they will continue to progress.

Three errors in one inning has allowed Marshall to tie the score. This Tennessee team has shown a very weak defense.

Not the pitchers fault she gets them to hit hit weak ground balls that we make errors on. Now 4 to 3 Marshall as the error prone Tennessee team continues to make mistakes in the field.

Totally agree that this team is no where near as good as last season defensively or at the plate. Add to that how Ralph keeps running us out of innings and potential runs and you have a formula for some bad losses.

Have we been this shaky at bat in the earlier games? Or are we just having a few off games?

Tough to lose a game on four unearned runs where the team did not get even one hit in the inning.

Those errors were on Beard, not Morgan who had been playing 1st most of the season...Beard was then replaced by Morgan

Meghan Gregg saves the team and Ralph again. One of the best players he ever recruited really saved a lot of games that would've probably been losses.

Good job by Ralph in the 7th inning. He didn't force the issue on Holcomb's hit with McLain at 3rd, Leach at 1st, and no outs. Made them have to pitch to Gregg with bases loaded. I am often critical of Ralph as a base coach, but he got that one right.
