Do you think Kamara wishes Jones had used him 30-40 touches per game? His game will always be better for the NFL than college. He only had 120 carries in 16 games, but had 81 receptions in those 16 games. He can have a lengthy career with those stats, but couldn't handle 20 carries every game. I do agree CBJ underultized him and good for Kamara. Much fresher body.

Don't know where you get your stats, but he averaged 4.5 ypc at UT. Not to mention he was going to be our all time leading rusher in his Junior year if things had continued like his first two.

Don't know where you get your stats, but he averaged 4.5 ypc at UT. Not to mention he was going to be our all time leading rusher in his Junior year if things had continued like his first two.

Hurd gets bashed a lot. But truth is he was one our best players and most productive players EVER.

Bad in-home guidance.
Rotten leadership and treatment from his head coach.

Hurd is an NFL RB. Was very tough.
Kamara and him should have been co-srarters.

However, Hurd's mom has an extremely WRONG opinion with all that said.

Hurd had a piss poor attitude and put himself before his own teammates.

Not to mention averaging 4.5 per carry is nothing to brag about.

Kamara was simply the better RB prospect who should have played more than Hurd.

Kamara wound up to be a star in the NFL while Hurd ended up at freaking Baylor.

To say Hurd was one of our best players is a long stretch.

It turns out that Alvin Kamara is pretty good at football. Who knew?

On Thursday, the former Tennessee tailback was named the 2017 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. That was after he was drafted in the third round by the New Orleans Saints. As many have said throughout 2017, Kamara was underutilized at Tennessee.

AK should be glad he split carries with Hurd. The hits Hurd took with our predictable offense were frequent and brutal. It could have been AK.
