Zimmerman Trial

I dont think they can get him on murder 2..but involuntary manslaughter would probably stick. I think the defense will create enough reasonable doubt that he will walk...or if the Prosecution keeps bringing in bonehead witnesses like today they should just call a mistrial.

He is guilty of being a wannabe cop who watched too much Law and Order.

Maybe partly. Maybe just an over zealous guy trying to better his neighborhood. It's not illegal to follow somebody.

So we have a 17 year old wearing a hoodie at night standing up next to a house due to the rain in a neighborhood that had experienced several break ins........I don't know about you guys but that sure sounds suspicious to me. I think I would have kept an eye on him as well

Has anyone seen the graphic that HLN uses for this case? I know, HLN is ridiculous, but I had to see how they were trying to spin yesterday's testimony to fit their narrative.

Anyways, its dark and rainy and you see someone in a hoody (can't tell the guy's race). It looks like a scene out of a horror movie. The guy in the hoody reminds me of Jason, I mean he doesn't just look suspicious...he looks downright scary. Let's just say this is not a good graphic if you trying to say TM didn't look suspicious.

It hasn't been getting nearly enough attention, but one of the neighbors yesterday testified she saw the two fighting, and it looked to her that Zimmerman had the upper hand. She then claims she heard three shots fired. In her words, she heard "pop, pop, pop."

The problem? There was only one shot fired.

Geantel admitted to lying about a few things, so it really was difficult to know when she was telling the truth or telling another lie. When asked about the basis of her "friendship" with Trayvon Martin, she quickly answered "games and bicycling." I thought she was lying when she said that.

Will the defense be able to impeach the prosecution witnesses and their testimony? It has signed statements from them, but now the witnesses are saying things not in those statements. The defense might not be fully prepared. The prosecution's case does not look good, but it does have a case. The defense must do work to help the jury or it could lose. The testimony so far is confused, and at the end will probably be very conflicted. Fortunately for the defense, it does have physical evidence to support its version of the events.

It sounds like the defense is going to go over the deposition Jeantel gave in March.

Here's my question...

Why is it that much of the media has decided to update their images of Zimmerman (where he clearly now appears older), but continue to use a photograph of Martin that shows him 2-3 years younger than he actually was at the time of the incident?

From ABC news...

At least you knew the answer before you asked the question.

If the media weren't out of the loop at this point with the trial, I would think it is doubling down. If Zimmerman wins, he could sue a lot of them. The media's misrepresentation of the case was egregious from the beginning, and that has not stopped. They are probably hoping and praying for a conviction.

The best part about the trial so far for me is Micahel Skolnik's tweets regarding Rachel Jeantel:

"Rachel Jeantel is like so many yng people who live in the shadows of America. Never recognized or counted for, so they grow angry and sad."

"Rachel Jeantel didn't lie to cover up evidence, she lied bc she couldn't deal with pain. That's nothing to be shameful about"

"Rachel Jeantel is brutally honest. A yng woman who did not ever want to be in this situation. She wears her anger and sadness on her sleeve."

"Putting aside use of offensive language, Rachel Jeantel's testimony was very strong. Trayvon was running away from George and afraid of him."
