Zakai Zeigler suing for 5th year

when players are getting 7 figures does it even matter about whether they have a scholarship? Like somehow if Gainey and Lanier are back, we just pay them their money and dont really worry about whether they have an athletic scholarship right?

1. Lanier can’t return
2. We don’t have a scholarship issue so why wouldn’t we put those guys on scholarship?

I get what you’re saying, but this wouldn’t be the first time someone’s stayed in college longer than 4 years. Take that TE from
Miami, he was in school for 9 years. I know there were medical redshirts in there, and Covid, but if you’re looking for a case study to dissect if start with him and Cam Rising
I pulled a major switch 3 years in and worked 3 jobs at one point and full time at another point which ended up keeping me in school for 7. I was so old, I had nightmares about failing my finals and being stuck in school for a few years after that lol. Can’t imagine NINE YEARS.

I know I'm pretty late to the thread, but hopefully it works out for him as he's entertaining to watch and one of the best at point in the country.

I got my Associate's in 2009 (at 25).
I got my Bachelor's in 2024 (at 40).
I will (as long as I keep to my current class schedule) have my Master's next year.

I was in the Army from '02-'22 though, so I do have some excuse for it taking as long as it did. I've been in a full-time job my entire academic career lol.

Haha...I have nightmares where I have to go back because I never finished. I have to go open up the tube and make sure the degree is in there sometimes.

Yeah, TC I regret to inform you that we encountered some irregularities in your record during a routine degree audit, we'll need to have you check in with your academic advisor to address this, and some of your prerequisites may be out of date.

And I thought I was the only one to have such nightmares. Usually about 2 or 3 a year since 1983 lol. And I graduated with about 15 hours over the required.

So is that good? I’m assuming that the plan was already for ZZ to pursue a masters?

Remains to be seen. If you click into the thread, the DOJ argument is kind of neutral for the most part but does have a few specific sections that sound more friendly to the NCAA.
