Zakai Zeigler suing for 5th year

I don't. He has no case at all other than "I want to play more." Until the 5th year is granted to everyone (if it gets granted), he really has no argument.
Your guess that he won’t win is as likely as anyone else’s guess, but he certainly has a case. There are countless examples of the NCAA awarding an athlete another season of eligibility when they missed part of a prior season. While the NCAA has written rules on how many games athletes are allowed to play prior to the injury, the NCAA regularly approves exceptions to those rules. It’s possible that a logical minded judge would view those inconsistencies as rule in ZZ’s favor

Better chance he wins this than he won’t …. He has a case

I’m a little confused about why the NCAA would spend money trying to fight any of this. It literally costs them $0 to just cave and it doesn’t seem like they have much of an interest in restricting eligibility for the small number of players looking for a 5th year right now.

Grades are always private from the public according to Title IV
They're OK to release in the aggregate -- or at least they used to be....I recall something like 99% of Pat Summitt's players graduating.
I'd have to wonder about how honest schools would be about the number of student athletes who dropped courses.

This is what I don’t understand either. They literally had their teeth cut when NIL comes to life. Can easily see the DOJ getting pushback and denies the statement.

Anticipating the NCAA to act rationally is never a good idea

They should get a 5th year. There is a lot of players played the whole season 2020-21 and got a covid year.
I understand giving them an extra year because of Covid for the year 2019-20. Why not give everyone 5 years to play
within 5 years and they can be getting master’s degree.

Haha...I have nightmares where I have to go back because I never finished. I have to go open up the tube and make sure the degree is in there sometimes.
Hmm… yeah should have had my diploma hung in the ceiling so it was the first thing I saw when I woke up.
