So mediocrity is 43-18 replacing a guy that had just went 16-19 and becoming the 6th coach in 11 years at a school that was facing a huge loss of scholarships with a looming NCAA battle to fight. The butt of jokes from coast to coast.

If so that what would this be called… Having 11th highest winning percentage of active coaches at 73.3 % (72.9 at just Tennessee). As a program Tennessee is coincidentally 11th in all time win percentage. And, correct me if I’m wrong, but take a wild guess who is tied as 11th highest paid head coach? Number 11 seems to be the common theme. And what more could be expected really? Sure we want to progress as a program and as a brand. But you have to walk before you can run and Pruitt left us literally handicapped.

Have perspective. Use logical thought process like a grown man instead of being a reactionary child every damn week.

Am I pissed about last night? For sure. To be honest I’m still more upset with his incredibly ignorant coaching decisions at Alabama. The truth is, crying and stomping your feet doesn’t help anything or add any substance to this forum. It’s ridiculous to throw a hissy fit every time we lose a game since the beginning of the internet.

And that’s all I have to say about that. Well crap, now that phrase just triggered more internal rage. I shoulda just went to church early this morning. But nah I’m not doing this today. We have some incredibly stupid fans. After 20 years wondering in the desert, we finally have a coach that makes us relevant again and we are talking about him like we are doing him a favor. Ritually one of the best offensive units in the country. 2 wins over Alabama (one with Saban as coach). 2 wins against Florida. Dominant wins in our bowl games every year except last year. Still isn't enough for us. Nope. CJH is incompetent. Incapable of winning. And, I swear to God, we still have mouth breathers on this thread talking about Gruden........

Heup and Banks both coached fine tonight. We lost because we got physically beat in the trenches; because we made two many mistakes; and OU gave Joey some confusing looks that he wasn’t prepared for.
Our inability to get push from the OL for our run game to get going was the deciding factor.
They basically manhandled us. That is a roster issue. This year was always going to be challenging. Aguilar’s above average play gave us false hope early in the season. We just didn’t have enough quality players in enough depth.

And who is responsible for recruiting the players and coaching them? You just lost your argument. Other coaches with less talent have players who perform much better than us! No excuses, it is on the coaches, period! JH is the head coach, end of story.

Winning a title requires discipline and leadership. Heupel seems like he's too much of a "cool guy" to instill the right discipline.

Winning a Championship requires the right group of players and a hell of a lot of luck. How many Championships have the Vols won over their storied history? Even with all-time greats, like Manning and Majors, we couldn't win one.

Now, with the Portal and NIL, it gets even harder to get and retain great players.

Coach has had some decisions this year that were not the right calls the most obvious is the pass (pick 6) at Bama, but last night we played a decent defense and if those 4 plays don't happen we win the game going away.

CJH isn't perfect but he's better than middle of the pack. He's top 5 in the SEC, maybe top 3. We had some bad breaks this season, came out with some really awful injuries that had a big impact. A few bad decisions and 1 missed kick away from a great season. So it goes. Some of yall just want the chaos of another coaching search, I swear.

I love the Vols and always will but I truly don’t understand the delusion of our fan base sometimes. If you are less than 75 years old, you have experienced(as in actually remember cheering for) exactly 1 undisputed Championship season. If having bigger goals is the point, I understand, but to have expectations based on something we were for a mere 13 years over 70 years ago is ridiculous.
