They’re unlikely to make the playoffs, even if they win in Knoxville next week.

Yeah, they would need quite a bit of help. They pretty much need Miami, Utah, and BYU all to lose this weekend. (Potentially also either something like an LSU upset of OU or Alabama losing to Auburn for good measure.)

As far as the CFP rankings, there's a pretty good chance UT's sitting somewhere in the 15-16 range, even if they were to beat Vanderbilt soundly.

I was trying to be sarcastic. The Vols will be one spot away, which would perfectly summarize the season.

I am saying that they should just put us at 12th. We are better than any G5 team.

Moot point since the best G5 team is guaranteed a spot. Doesn’t matter who is better than that team.
