People may well like the way it plays, but as I said, my main gripe with the PS controller has always been its size. Aside from slightly longer grips, the body of the controller is still effectively the same size. PS4 has a lot of things going for it, and to be 100% honest, if there were simply some way to link an Xbox style controller to it, I would have no reservations about buying one. I know there are ways to mod one, but they are a bit above my skillset. I'll search around after the release and see if anyone has a somewhat affordable modded one up for sale, and if so I'll probably just buy that and get a PS4 so I can play The Show.

Who are you, Andre the Giant? I'm 6'2 and have pretty large hands. The size of the Dualshock has never been a problem for me. :dunno:

The PS controllers are definitely too small. Xbox ones fit snug into the shape of an adult's hand. The triggers on the Xbox controllers have also felt better and more responsive.

It helps that they actually somewhat mimic the shape of actual triggers. However to Sony's credit, they did address that somewhat by creating a concave trigger shape, but its still going to be a big button. The analog sticks are also noticeably tighter on the current Xbox controllers. That's the one thing you would have to have the controller in your hand to actually judge. The rest of it you can pretty much figure out by seeing the measurements and know that they haven't really altered the size aside from slightly lengthening the handles.

The 360 controller is pretty much perfect. I've been picking up some games on the PS3 lately and it's just awkward. I'm planning on trying the new one but may have to do something else.

^ 100% right on both accounts. Dualshock 3 is just not a friendly "pick up and play" controller. Its fine when you use it all the time, but yeah, I don't know how you could improve on the current XBOX controller.

There are third party companies that have made PS3 controllers with the same layout and size as the 360. I've seen 1 at Target before but it's wired I think.

well $110 with the Plus/Live difference (not trying to nitpick; just giving the actual)


These systems really are starting off at around $560 for an XboxOne and a year of Live and $450 for a PS4 and a year of Plus

I'm pretty sure my XP 500 (Turtle Beach) set can be used on either console. I known their website says the new Turtle Beach Seven is compatible with both, but $279 seems like an awful lot of money for a headset that isn't even wireless.
