I'm still waiting for one of these companies to provide an "adult swim" feature that allows only 21+ gamers to use. I would speculate that the median age of gamers will continue to rise; heck, the nintendo/atari generation is now in their 30's and early 40's.

I would pay extra for something like this and not think twice about it.

This is one of the best ideas I've ever heard. Party chat makes a huge difference on Live because you only hear your actual friends, but if I'm not in party chat I basically just turn the chat off altogether to avoid listening to the childish antics that make up the overwhelming majority if the chat.

Good news for Xbox One Launch customers

“About the U.S. Xbox One, as of the moment, the Game which will be free is still yet to be announced however, there will be a free game for the pre-ordered Xbox One,” the Microsoft Store rep said. “You can check the information once we have it updated on our news.xbox.com website or you will be updated on your email address which you have the Xbox account linked to.”

We contacted Microsoft for confirmation of this and were told, “Regarding a bundle for North America, as with many products, bundle offers differ from country to country. We’re committed to offering fantastic value to all our customers and have nothing further to announce at this time.”

This definitely would be a game changer. I own a PS3 solely for the bluray player. All of my games are for 360. Would be nice to be able to get rid of both consoles and play GTA 5 and other non-next gen games on the One instead of having to keep 2 consoles.

I honestly think a game like GTA V not releasing on next gen is a reason why some will hold off on purchasing the One or PS4 on release. They'll just keep what they've got in order to play that. I think having backwards capability will quicken the time people will buy the new consoles. Speeds it up for me.

the ps4 will be able to play games from ps one though 3

I think GTA V was very well planned to only be on current gen to squeeze out what was left in the current gen market. Hopefully they release V on the next gen consoles soon, but I doubt it given what Rockstar has done in the past.

Does all the NSA stuff scare anyone in regards to the XBox One? I would rather have the One, but I'm just skeptical with the camera always looking at me.

Can you link other articles that say this? That's the only article I can find that says FIFA 14 will come with day one Xbox orders in the US.

It might be. Each article tells a different story, and one is a .uk site... I would like the option though. I personally would go with Forza.

I believe the FIFA deal is just Europe for now. One of the articles lists the game price in pounds and states that no deal has been announced yet for the US.
