Wow 60% off Halo MCC? All the games on sale I already own. But they've really brought some great deals on digital downloads lately. Still sticking with physical discs though.

To be honest, 60% off MCC is still a ripoff. Halo is probably my favorite video game franchise, but 343i just completely dropped the ball with that game, and apparently either don't know how, or are too focused on H5 to fix it.

I think they are focused on Halo 5 and just bsing everyone into thinking that they are still working to fix the MCC.

This is what I think too. When they went almost a month in late December and most of January without a single update or even info about an update to MCC, yet the H5 beta got sometimes almost daily updates, they made it pretty clear where their priorities lay.

If you've never played them, yes. I'm not sure just the H2 anniversary campaign is worth it though. Everything else is just a direct port over from last-gen.

I only played Halo and Halo 2 back in the day, so it was still a good buy for me with the campaigns. I just really wished MP would have worked better. I can easily get in matches but the problem is people always quit. I have only had a few times in where both teams were full when the match was completed.

That's probably going to piss off those who bought it around launch even more, though they still are supposed to get ODST remastered for free when it comes out. But considering how bungled MCC was, I'm going to guess some will get screwed on the ODST deal too.

Personally, I don't give a **** about getting ODST for free. I'd like it if they would just fix the MP. Unfortunately now, even if they were to miraculously do that, there are probably so few people left playing it would barely even matter.

Ok this is really starting to annoy me.

So almost every time I go to turn on XOne after I previously played it a good while, it will come on but when I try to start a game nothing happens. I turn the system off and the console light starts flashing and from my googling, this is supposed to mean something is updating.

But I have automatic updates on and this happens literally almost every time I turn it on now. Even after it stops flashing, sometimes I have to unplug the console and plug it back in to make it work correctly.

Is this happening to anyone else? Stuff can't be updating this much.

That sucks, luckily I don't have that issue.

Have you tried turning automatic updates off, and only updating applications as you use them?

At the rate game developers have been releasing broken games, it wouldn't surprise me if they were constantly updating their software.

Also, the other apps (Netflix, HBO GO, etc) update a lot too.

Today is also Tuesday, so this is when MS updates their online library and dashboard.

I think patches and updates are the norm from here on, as machines and graphics improve.

It is a double edged sword though - back in the 90s, we got poorly translated games with no patches ("I feel asleep" Metal Gear, NES) and we dealt with it. Now, we get games that are often rushed, but at least they can make an attempt at correcting mistakes.

Are you in the preview program?

Are you in the preview program?

Not that I know of.

I do have several games loaded on my HD, so I guess it's possible I'm getting updates from all of them, but I don't get why I have to turn it off for things to actually update, if that is in fact what is happening.

It's not a deal breaker by any means, but it sure is annoying.

What's the best racing game for XBO? I had the first forza that came out, and it got old. Any suggestions?

First Forza ever or Forza 5? There is Forza Horizon 2 as well. I can't say personally, because I don't like racing games, but the people who do love those two. If you want less simulation racing and more arcade style, there may be an early Need for Speed from launch. I don't think the Crew has been reviewed so well, but that is an option too.

I think the only major thing left I wanna see in an update is the ability to rip music from a cd to the console or maybe just the addition of Spotify/Pandora and be able to snap the app and play music in the background while gaming (kinda like how Party app works).
