They've cashed in either before. It didn't matter. They used to threaten to try and claim either one of them.

Because the football forum is gone full blown retard I plan to keep this thread hopping! :)
Who was your favorite wrestler that wasn't a main eventer?

When I was a kid, I loved JYD. I know it's silly, but when he would get down on all four and headbutt people, I would laugh hysterically.

That's correct. Ziggler has the Smackdown case, so he has to cash it in for the WHT. Still looks like they're planning something for Cena/Ziggler tho.

Rock vs Austin for the entertainment value. Midnight Express vs Rock N' Roll Express. Horsemen/Flair vs Dusty Rhodes/Magnum TA/Sting/various others.

On one hand I'm estatic Ryback didn't win.

On the other I'm kinda sad that my Monday nights won't be freed up like they would've had he won.

Its a little late in the game for Punk to be dropping the belt, I think. IMO he should keep it going into the RR, rather than sticking it on somebody else for a month or two. The guy has definitely earned it. He's been a huge workhorse. He can get the most pops or the most heat than anybody in the biz right now. He should also be allowed to set some records along the way. Really, I don't think he should even lose it to a part-timer like the Rock, and he should at least get the chance to main event a Wrestlemania. But we all know champion Rock, not the People's Champ but the Part Time Champ, is coming.

I still don't understand the Punk backlash. I can understand people being sick of him as champion, but he's more entertaining than most possible options, especially Cena or Ryback. The only guys in WWE who can compare right now are Bryan and Ziggler. Sandow is quickly climbing that ladder tho.

On the flip side, Sheamus definitely needed to drop the belt, even if it was to Big Show. Talk about somebody that is boring. Disappointed that Ziggler did not cash in, as he promised. But that's WWE for you. Little continuity.

I look for Show to hold that belt till RR. That is when Ziggler will get it. IMO. I agree with Punk however I just think everything they are trying with him is falling flat somehow. I don't think any one is getting the chemistry with him like they were hoping.

I don't think he's as good as he can be. For the record I don't really enjoy him anymore, but he seems to be one of the lesser of the evils when it comes to carrying the show. His "it's the fans fault" schtick is not only cheap heat, its illogical. But apparently no WWE writer is creative enough these days to come up with a better way to get boos. The respect thing makes sense, especially if you watch his DVD, but they can't go with that alone cause it would be so correct, it can't really be heel-like.

Ultimately, like it or not, we're stuck with Cena as THE star for a long time until he retires or - channeling my inner Danny Ford again - somebody retires him. In the grand scheme of things, guys like Punk and Ryback will be 2nd fiddle.

Ryback didnt win.
CM Punk keeps the belt.
Cena makes his return.
Cena becomes champion.

Tell me you've heard that before...
