Golddust will never change. One of the few from a different era still left (Him and Kane are the only ones who still wrestle weekly, and he did so long before Kane), and him trying to latch onto more time with something new would demean the great job he has done as that character for so long.

Now, if we get a push for Cody changing back, I think it would work well. Cody as he was was a damn good wrestler.

Ability isn't the issue. The Cody Rhodes character sucks. Dustin had the same problem. He was never as good being Dustin Rhodes/Runnels as he is being Golddust.

Question:

Do you guys think WWE is in trouble when Vince retires / dies?

Or

Do you think WWE will be better off with Triple H / Stephanie running the show?

Which one and why? Just curious.

The product will be infinitely better once Trips and Steph are in charge. NXT is Trips' baby and it's the best thing WWE has going for it. The talent pool is deep, character build is great and the matches are high quality. I think he knows what the fans want and knows how to bring it back it a little of what it once was. Looking forward to the day Vince takes a step back and they get the keys. Not saying I don't appreciate Vince and what he's done, but I think he's lost his touch the last couple of years.

Agree 100%.

If Sting sticks around for awhile, I'd like to see a Sting/Wyatt feud. I think the two could really feed off each other, assuming Sting's in-ring skills aren't too rusty.

I think WWE will be better in terms of booking with HHH in charge, but will be in more trouble financially. As senile and out of touch as he is, the biggest difference Vince makes is he's a better businessman. And also, don't think for an instant that WWE will suddenly become like NXT with HHH in charge. He even explained the difference on the podcast.

As far as Steph goes...she can @#$ off (but obviously won't). She's too much of daddy's little girl, and putting her in charge of creative is mind boggling to me (much the same that having Kevin Dunn still be the producer is mind boggling, altho I know the reason why).

I've mentioned it before, but here's a previous idea with a new twist. Don't promo Undertaker for WM. Give Wyatt someone else to face. Act like Taker isn't even going to be involved. At WM, Brock retains against Reigns, Bryan, Rollins, or all three in a Fatal Fourway. However they want to play it, Brock comes out unscathed and starts mouthing off. He declares himself unbeatable, proclaims there's not a man alive that can beat him...... then you hear the gong. Taker comes out, and you know the crowd will roar. Out comes the Authority to try and restore order but Brock keeps going and brags about having already defeated Taker last year and ending the streak. Trash talk ensues, Brock offers up the title, the Authority signs off, and it's on. That's right, Taker avenges his loss and comes out of WM as the champion. If Brock can get away with as few title defenses as he did for a year, why can't Taker get away with it for a few months? You restore Taker's WM legend, end the reign of Brock, and then all you have to do is decide who's gonna take the belt from Taker. Maybe it's Bray? Maybe that's when you start the Wyatt/Taker feud and build it to a retirement match at SS? Wishful thinking, I know, but I just hate to see Taker's career end with a loss at WM. That was always his stage. I hated that Brock ended the streak last year. I'd hate it even more to see him lose two years in a row, then retire.

I have no desire to see a barely able to move Taker have the belt. Having Brock around for ten RAWs since August was awful. It's the freaking championship belt. He doesn't have to wrestle every Monday, heck, I'm actually very much against that idea, but it'd be nice if we at least got to see him cut a promo most weeks.

Oh, I figured it all out now. Sheamus and (more importantly) Orton were held back so they wouldn't interfere with the return of Heath Slater. He's officially returned thank goodness. RAW will be so much better now. Maybe now they can bring back the other two?

I'm a big fan of the stardust character and Cody plays it great. I think Cody has a better chance of getting out of the mid card being stardust than he does being Cody Rhodes.

Now if I could play booker for a moment.........I would book stardust as a complete psychopath. Where there's no rhyme or reason to why he does the things he does. Make him a true tweener that you never know if he going to attack a heel or a face.

Like Kane did for a while?

I just hate to see Taker go out like that at WM. I forgot the amount of time between WM and SS(for some reason I was thinking they were closer to each other in time), so I'd have him drop the belt sooner, but he's always been a company guy in the past. I think you could at least get Taker to cut promos and make appearances. One last little run for Taker wouldn't upset me because he has been such a company guy. Start building the Wyatt feud on the first RAW after WM. Hold Taker out of Extreme Rules and let the younger guys beat the crap out of each other, then have him drop the belt to Wyatt at Payback. That's only two months, which is nothing compared to how long Lesnar has held the belt hostage. Wyatt would be a better WWE champion than Reigns at this point. And I'd rather Wyatt hold the belt over DB atm, and it's not because I dislike DB, I just think Wyatt would be a better choice.

In the meantime, you turn Reigns heel and make him a Heyman guy, which I suggested in an earlier post. I think heel Reigns would be ready for a title run much quicker than face Reigns. It also allows you to have Wyatt eventually drop the belt to DB or Cena(so he can tie Flair), who would then end up dropping it to Reigns. A heel Reigns then leads you directly into what Vince wants as next year's WM Main Event, Reigns vs The Rock. Rock has said before he would like to have a match with his cousin. Vince would be all over that. Casual fans would eat it up. But in no way would I let Rock win the belt. By that time, WWE needs to have the ship righted where you don't have a part-time champ.

Like Kane did for a while?

He needs to either return to the monster Kane, or retire to a behind the scenes job. I hate Corporate Kane, and not in the good "you're supposed to hate a heel" way. I think it's just plain stupid.

I've stopped. I'm trying to convince myself to give it another WM run, but judging from recent results and what I've read on here it's hard to do.

It's definitely not Must See TV for me either. 3 hours is just way too long. Plus, you can pretty much tune in for a few minutes at 8:00, again at 9:00 and then just before 11:00 and see all that matters.

Yeah, I have to admit, it would be hard for them to survive very long without Heath Slater. He's probably the heir to SuperCena's throne.

I think he's more of a heel. I think a Slater/Long Island Iced Z Wrestlemania bout will boost network ratings through the sky. #fingerscrossed

Or, you can log on here at 8:30, 9:15 and 11:10. Same ting.

I wish I could stop watching. The product is pretty bad now, but I watch more out of habit and the hope it will get better.

I actually did stop watching for about 7 years, around the time of the HHH opponent of the month and Cena's rise to prominence. I need to somehow force myself to do that again, cause I really don't wanna sit around and watch the Roman Empire.

I was listening to Taz's review of the HHH interview podcast today and he was asking if DB beats Reigns at Fast Lane will it put Reigns over because of being screwed by the Authority? I say no.

Depends on how is character reacts. If he gets all Bret Hart whiney, then it won't. But if he gets all Stone Cold, while staying off the mic, then it could.

until wrestlers like Ziggler, Wyatt, Ambrose, etc get the continued pushes they deserve, I really am done. I'll renew for Wrestlemania because it's Wrestlemania, but the if the future looks as stale and boring as it does right now, I likely won't renew my subscription and won't even watch the PPVs for only 9.99. The promos that they do cut are unnecessarily long and then half the stars that should be getting short promos to push the IC and other mid card slates are completely ignored and after a week or two of build up, they completely scrap an angle in favor of a new one. It's essentially no fun to watch. But it's tough to stay completely away because there is more potential now than since the Attitude Era. No one wants to tap into it though. And to make matters worse, ready to go big time stars in NXT are piling up in large numbers. If they aren't making room for the guys on the main roster to get real pushes, what makes me think they are going to give the guys in NXT currently a real shot?

The only one of those guys I feel confident will have a successful career is Wyatt.

I'm just waiting on him to drop another one, this time to Taker.

It's pretty good from a booking standpoint that Wyatt still seems so strong after Bryan and Cena cleanly ended the feud and the fact that while Wyatt cleanly ended Ambrose by sending him off in an ambulance, Ambrose regularly still beats up on him today.

I get that the face is supposed to win, but they've seriously limited how much dominance Wyatt gets over anyone these days. Even the Jericho feud saw Jericho beating the crap out of him with regularity.
