I'm trying to remember, was it after Benoit that Vince refocused on the WWE Wellness Program, or was it after Eddie?
I don't disagree, but I'm not sure WWE had the whole story at that point. And the Benoit who did those horrible things was not the same Benoit everyone in that lockerroom called a friend. No one knew the years of concussions and apparent steroid use had had that effect on him. There's no excuse for what he did, but I don't think anyone could have seen it coming either. What he did was evil, but a part of me still has sympathy for him because circumstances turned him into that monster.
Getting away from darker conversation, I still think Reigns should be a Heyman guy after Brock leaves. I think there was chatter of doing it with Rollins, but Reigns needs it more. Keep Rollins with the Authority for now, put Reigns with Paul, and let Ambrose do his thing, then build toward a triple threat Shield match.
I could be off on my time, it happens as you get older, but didn't the Benoit incident happen as more and more info on how multiple concussions severely damaged your brain started to become publicly known? The scientific community may have known it for awhile, but wasn't it just really starting to come into the public eye?
Too bad they can't use him as Bully Ray, which is actually the better character. Without Devon, Bubba just doesn't work quite as well.
On a different note, its kinda funny that in half of the Rock's last 4 appearances in WWE, he has been booed, albeit its not entirely his fault. Just goes to show how lame Vince is.
But like...what if R Truth became the newest family member. He treated Truth like a Dudley. I could see that and it could take Truth through his current ceiling
