Probably add in a Miz/Sandow match and a token Diva match in the preshow along with Usos/Ascension in a tag title match and you've got a card

Did anyone notice how they said that last night was Stardust's first Royal Rumble, then like 5 minutes later when Goldust tried to eliminate Stardust, they said that Goldust tried to eliminate his brother like last year?

Kinda like when they said Rollins lasted the longest in the Rumble last year, but it was actually Punk, like they were trying to Benoit erase him. Of course, a lot of stupid gets said when Lawler is around. He lowers the IQ of everybody.

RAW will still be happening and still have that "mark" because it will still be a new episode just not your usual one.

The previous week and Vince had to come on air and say it was storyline. Then they ran the illegitimate son angle instead that was supposed to be Mr. Kennedy and got suspended. Boy Vince did not have a good year.

I'm guessing he means that something will be aired, just not a traditional episode. So because they will air something on television during that hour with the name WWE Monday Night Raw, its streak will continue

They'll still air something but just not anything from tonight. Probably a documentary or two or they could have somebody at the arena doing some narration of something. It won't like a baseball rain out where USA shows re runs of one of their shows.

The whole Benoit thing was ugly. No one really knew how to deal with it. Hindsight is 20/20, but I think Vince tried to handle it as best he could. Something that gruesome, I don't think there was any kind of "proper way" to address it, but you couldn't ignore it. God that was awful.

It mistake was running the Benoit tribute as it was horribly announced that it looked like Benoit killed his wife and kid. Just an awful idea.

They wouldn't do it, but they could air an editted down version of last night's Rumble. Better than showing older content imo.

If not for the actual Rumble itself going horribly wrong I agree. That'd be a great showing for your product and maybe help WWEN buys.

I don't disagree, but I'm not sure WWE had the whole story at that point. And the Benoit who did those horrible things was not the same Benoit everyone in that lockerroom called a friend. No one knew the years of concussions and apparent steroid use had had that effect on him. There's no excuse for what he did, but I don't think anyone could have seen it coming either. What he did was evil, but a part of me still has sympathy for him because circumstances turned him into that monster.
