I find her salary and any money used to support this center very concerning. These types of centers are part of the problem of sky rocketing costs for education.

Combine the fact that every middle income kid in america has a 529 with the fact that government cant seem to stop pouring money into education and this what you get. A education system that has a piggy bank bursting and they have to keep building new things, adding new centers, etc. You build stuff to the point where there is nonsense like this center which in turn produces a buffoon suggesting how you speak. Asinine.

The fun thing about college is its a time to rebel against the system. Apparently those who rebelled in the past are now the system and its time, yet again, to go against them. I kinda want to do another grad school just to be an ass.

I wrote 3 paragraphs and then said screw it. This is the most ridiculous thing I've seen come out of a university in a while. I would expect it from a northeastern school, but not the University of Tennessee.

"We're run by absolute morons."

Hopefully Josh Dobbs will develop into one of the great stories in college football this year and folks around the country will make the connection that ze's also a fantastic student working in a strong program at our University.

I'd prefer the University of Tennessee receive notice for the excellence of its Engineering Department than the incompetence of the wannabe social engineers running the institution.

Celebrate those who do honor to the University in everything they do on the field and in the classroom:

This x 1000. Anyone upset with the rate of increase of higher education should be furious about these worthless departments that have nothing to do with educating students but get bundled into tuition costs.

If one shows up to college and hasn't found an existing pronoun in the English language that they can identify with, I think it's safe to say they aren't ready for college.

And with the constant talk of budget woes coming out of Knoxville, it is a head scratcher that an office like this is in the budget.

You could not find a better contrast between someone who values the University of Tennessee and someone who doesn't give a rat's ass about the place where ze works.

The folks who say this isn't a big deal are the same ones who will freak out when some Foot-Washing Baptist preacher in Bluefield with a congregation of ten to fifteen says something about some social issue.

But when we have someone who is trying to enforce her social dogma on an entire university community, someone who has done damage to the reputation of the University of Tennessee through her stupidity, it really isn't that big a deal to them.

This is an attempt to control language. If it is not firmly rejected, then it will not be long before the social libs at UTK begin trying to restrict the very ideas the language helps construct.

Well said Buck, the entire incident is an embarrassment to an institution that I hold in high esteem. We're making the news,but for all the wrong reasons...
