Idk but the article last week made it seemed like a high probability of passing.

As far as why, I'd say most coaches want more control back in their hands. They, the presidents, the ADs, and therefore their entity - the NCAA - have been steadily losing power over players. At this point they seem to want unlimited annual spots if players are going to come and go through the portal. It has nothing to do with minimizing the portal or looking out for the student-athletes. Then the coaches can get away with pushing out players, like always (Saban cough cough), and take even more new players each year to churn out. Keep the best beyond Y1/Y2 and cut the worst performers. Take 40 new kids and send them through the same thing. I see a lot of coaches going full Jack Welch and the portal will only be exacerbated.

All for something they'll kindly dub "roster management".

You could be right .Then again you could be wrong.Hold the number of new signees to 30 per year (with conditions that make sense like only can sign up to 30 if there are 5 who enter the portal and the Sholly limit is extended to 90.That would maybe slow down the departures ....then again maybe not .There may be a better combination of what I just described as a way to not exacerbate the portal challenge.

Gimme a corner and LB who can start for us and we might be middle of the pack in the SEC. Heupel might be thinking that a great offense will give us a chance to win in most of our games. We lose a WR and the offense doesn't click, we're toast.

I think we will make a lot more noise just on adding this guy alone!

Ideally we get Jaylon, Ramon Jefferson, (unless there's a better RB somewhere. Doesn't look like it) and 3 more guys on defense if it makes sense.

I think you can flush any answer AP gives when it comes to percentages. He makes it well known how much he hates those percentage questions, and the fellow VQ mods always cackle like school girls when he rants about them. So I think AP is just being sarcastic anytime he does answer one.
