Will this team be Special ?

Seriously. Our offense could be loaded.. If the running game is solid, and with the WR's we have, Bray seems to be coming around to the maturity and leader we need. I think the defense could be very good also. I honestly think this team has the makings of a very special year. What say you ?:loco:

There's no doubt that this team has all the tools to be special. I'm not calling for national title special but am calling for being a top team in the SEC. It all falls on how this team can respond to adversity. How does the injuries play out this fall, how does the upper classman handle this team as a whole, who will be the leaders on the field and off, etc. These are all ?'s the team has to answer to be special. If they can handle this, i think they can be as good as anyone in the SEC this year. I can remember we were all on here last year at this time saying this team can be special the 2011 season and it very well was on track to be special up until after the Florida game and then the injury, the doubt, the blame game, the depth, etc. Bottom line is we now have enough depth and talent to overcome injuries in most places. It's all on how the team responds to adversity throughout the season.

I see our offense being special if everyone stays healthy. If we are able to put together a decent running game to keep opposing D's honest we could have an amazing offense.

I'm not sure about our D. Too early to tell since we have new staff and new scheme...

Special teams? Who knows? I just hope a kicker emerges as well as a punter.

Delusional. Auburn did it offensively mostly with their running game. Our running game was nearly the worst in all of Division 1 football last year. The running game moves the chains and continues drives. Without a DRAMATICALLY improved running game our potent passing offense will be watching our defense on the field. To say that our offensive line is soft is to be charitable. I don't see dramatic improvement in our running game in the cards this year.

With the talent we have at WR, it will open up the run game

The defense has to play well. It is not a very intimidating defense and really doesn't have anyone that has proven disruptive on the line of scrimmage. Let's hope the JUCO's contribute and our young guys have gotten stronger and can play faster. Dooley seems a little concerned about the secondary but we can cover if J. Smith and company can play get pressure.

I think we can have a special offense with the massive o-line, TE and big receivers. We have not had size and speed on offense like we have excluding RB in many years.

To keep it simple, I will say this:

I think we will be good enough to be respected in our losses.
And I think we will win one that we aren't supposed to.

That is a big improvement from last year.

Our O-line was very young last year and played very well for their age but will be much much better this year and a lot bigger also which can't hurt!

Our offensive line played like absolute crap last year. They got the same amount of push off the line in the running game that you would expect from a bunch of pee wee football players. Size was not their problem. If anything they were too big last year. Their problem is that they are soft.

Our all around talent is on par with auburn/ark and under lsu/bama/ga.. We have better talent than fl in some spots, but they definitely have us in a few as well.. That game should be pretty close.

I think this team can be very good. By very good i mean 9 or 10 wins.

I also wouldnt be surprised if we only won 6.

Id be devastated by only 6 wins.. I don't think ppl understand the difference between this roster and the last few..this is the deepest, most talented roster we've had n a long time. The trenches r where sec games r won, and we should be a lot better on both lines.
