We could run jets with Howard, Neal, and Young to get the running game goin better. We also have a couple of big backs that could do something. If we have a decent running game we could possibly have one of the top offenses in the SEC behind Arkansas and Georgia.

Totally agree. I think we have some horses but am unsure that this coaching staff is strong enough to compete in the SEC. I am not convinced that Chaney's offense is suited for the SEC. More like Hal Mummy ver 2.0. To be successful in the SEC you have to have a power run game or you are playing on the level of UK and Vandy.

Just being realistic, but I hope I am wrong.

I have days where I think about our team and my optimism is unbridled and I just assume we are gonna walk into the SEC championship with a chance to beat Bammer or LSU

Other days I am moderately depressed and fear that we may just lose to NC State and start a firey downward spiral to permanent football irrelevance

I really should take my meds more often

You're ridiculous man, I was not at all trying to get people to talk bad about Tennessee. I was simply asking a question. This is a forum for the Vols, correct? So what's so bad about inquiring about your favorite team. I was interested in other fans thoughts about the defense, and for some strange reason I thought this would be the place to ask.
