Speaking of coaches that cuss like sailors, Stallings is awful. when we played them 4 yrs ago, he'd cuss his players non stop. we'd be running down the court and you cld hear him rip them a new one. it was funny

I am curious about something that was brought up in this thread. What's with the "I don't want the Lord's name taken in vain" attitude from people who also don't care about cursing. People have seriously tried to start fights with me, after cussing me out for saying damn. Nothing against you guys, but that doesn't seem right to me.

That being said, if the new coach sees a performance like yesterday's, I hope he cusses the players and their parents for bringing a bunch of pansies into the world.

I don't give a flying F if he does or doesn't cuss. I care if he puts a quality product on the field.

You don't have to curse to be a good coach. I never remember Bear Bryant, Joe Paterno, or Bbboy Bowden unleashing profanity lace tirades on the sideline.Never saw Gene Stallings do it. I'm fairly certain that General Neyland and Knute Rockne didn't do it. That kind of behavior would have been wholly unacceptable in their day.

BTW, I don't ever remember Tom Landry or Don Shula pulling that type of stunt.

Some people don't want to hear your profanity. They especially don't want to hear it in front of their children.

Some people don't want to hear your profanity. They especially don't want to hear it in front of their children. Being an Obama liberal, I can see where a moral compass would be an unknown concept to you.

If I am in public and around children I cut it out completely. If you had any comprehension ability you would have read the part about people trying to fight me, after they cussed me out. If they don't like my language, they can go to hell and leave the bar, because that is where the situation happened.

You are right. It is a double standard or double-speak. Sorry that people have done that to you; that is not right. My intentions are not in that direction. I was being honest to let people know that I curse too.

Let me put it this way instead. I am ok with P. Summit using curse words, but if she starts dropping the "C" word... yeah that bad word that you never say to a woman... I would be upset even though that isn't taking the Lord's name in vain. Many fans (especially women) might share a view that saying that could be just as bad.

I think it would be great if the new coach did not cuss. One can be a hardcore coach and run a tight ship without cussing.

I'd much rather have a guy who claps his hands after every mistake, and tells us he's gonna work like heck after every loss. Seriously, I really don't care as long as we are winning.
