Neither. I am saying that it is unlikely that a Tennessee back, playing behind a mediocre line, in an offense with a mediocre passing game, will win the Heisman anytime soon. Hurd is an excellent back, but he won't be able to generate the numbers or the press coverage.Are you saying Tennessee is cursed and no UT player will ever win it, or that I said somewhere in my post that George played for UT? I definitely didn't say the latter.
Heisman trophy has little to nothing to do with how good a player you are. It's about storylines and media hype along with some nice stats.
Nope. Maybe if he was on a team with an average or above OL. It really is sad to see.
He could rush for 3k yards and 30 td's and still would not get it. Would probably lose to another "first ever"....maybe a place kicker.
