He wants it to be physical. This is just not our strength. If we pounded the rock there would be a lot of three and outs....I agree with you in that I want a physical running game too...It hurts watching our run game. But that I am afraid is going to take a lot of time.

There is a major difference between wanting and doing. I think Dooley will end up being really good here, but no running game with a line full of returning starters and a 1,000 yard back is very very concerning. We had negative yards against UF, couldn't do jack against Montana on the ground and then ran a little on Cinci at the end when they were very tired. This is very concerning.

As a collegiate back, Foster was mediocre and playing behind an awful line. Pool has nowhere near Foster's ability to cut or find an opening.

I agree with that except for the start of the halves. He gets severely outcoached on the first scripted plays of each half. That opening drive was embarrassing for him. Nothing but screens and edge runs (which everyone expected) and they dominated us.

Yes in his first year at Alabama they lost to Louisana-Monroe. Yes Louisana-Monroe and Alabama's defense was probably about the same level talent wise as we are this year. How's that?
