Who do you suggest as being better? Stoops, Gundy, Patterson, etc aren't happening. I'd certainly take Franklin over Strong, Golden, etc.

Petrino isn't happening, either. Either that or Hart flat lied in his press conference.

I might honestly not be a vols fan anymore if we hired Franklin.

Imagine how much Franklin has dogged the orange the past few seasons.

I hope he lied, If no Gruden, Petrino flat out wins games. We would forget his mistakes after 1 winning season.

only problem is that Dooley could have beat the same teams he did....Dooley beat us 3 or 4 times this yr alone:)

Let me know when he does that on a consistent basis, and when one 8 win season at Vandy turns into the norm for them. Until that happens, it's a blip on the college football radar.

Back to back bowl years at vandy would be equivalent to back to back BCS bowl games at UT when looking at history. If your aren't willing to admit you are impressed with his recruiting you are simply blinded by pride! Top 15 at vandy is freaking getting after it on the recruits trail!!

How can anyone seriously be okay with this? We beach and moan about having Bammers and gators in our ranks, and now you're suggesting we go steal VANDERBILT'S coach??

Gtfo...c'mon man.

And for the record, Franklin, numerous times this year and last, has referred to us as "the school to the east." Not a huge dig, but a knock nonetheless. And he also didn't seem to mind @Joshua7Grady calling Dooley a clown.

He's a thug. Started a fight with a UGA assistant a year ago and has had arrest rates through the roof at Vandy.

Its what he does, and it has no place in Knoxville.

Dooley had a 8 win season in his resume as well, didn't really work out well for us. He also lost to Dooley, and JUST had 2 wins in the SEC last year. Come on man, you got more sense than this, but if you keep pushing Franklin, you may not have as much as I want to give you credit for.
