Let's look at some facts:
Since Franklin arrived at Vandy, there are win less against ranked teams (same as before).
Since Franklin arrived at Vandy, they are 2-6, and 4-4 in the SEC (6-10). While that looks impressive on it's face, realize that over that same span UT played a total of 10 ranked SEC teams, Vandy played 6.
In this same time period (2 years), by my count UT has beaten 4 teams with winning records (NCSU, Cincy, Montana and Vandy). Vandy has only beaten 2 (Wake Forest ('11), Ole Miss ('12)).
I understand that Vandy and Franklin are making a ton of noise, but I don't see it translating to real results. Is Franklin getting the Commodores to play better than they have historically, yes. On paper, you see Vandy beating Auburn, Tennessee and going bowling and think..man what a great job. Then you see that Auburn and Tennessee are at almost historical lows for their programs.
It appears the further I dig into this, that Vandy is "All hat, no cattle" but Franklin is certainly winning games against teams with better talent. Those more talented teams are simply awful.
