I don't understand how free will could exist if an omnipotent being creates you already knowing whether you will accept him or not. Prior to being created, god knows exactly what you will do and if you will believe. And the vast majority he makes do not believe. Is there not a strong argument that, in essence, god designed the vast majority of his children with the intent that they would eventually experience absolute and eternal suffering?
Some more of that interesting love and justice.
Only your first answer is worth darn.
The rest all say the same thing, he's great so you should worship him.
As for your first answer, although acceptable, it basically states that he's the doorman at really cool club and he needs some "attention" from the ladies and cash from the dudes in order to keep his club cool.
Now that we are way off topic...
Why does God need his ass kissed so much? He is all knowing, all powerful and yet he still has a need for me, truly a little piss ant in his presence, to worship him. Why?

So in your mind love=worship? I created my daughter and I love her dearly, but I don't want her to worship me. Actually, since she is a teenager, most days I will accept like and I will still let her into my really cool after party without the worship (ass kissing).
Why? You're just going to say that your notions of love and justice come straight from god, therefore there's no internal inconsistency with your beliefs. Mine from my lowly human experience which, being the nihilistic atheist heathen that I am, admittedly are meaningless. Gotcha atheist!
What's the point? These circular arguments that revolve around semantics by nature go nowhere. If we can't even come close to an agreement of what love, or mercy, or justice mean, there's just no point.
If I may be blunt, I really don't care what you find worthy.
That's untrue. Read again until you see the differences among the answers, and to your interpretation.

"Why does God need worship?"
"Why does God demand worship?"
"Why does God desire worship?"
They would require three very different answers and infer three very different things about God. You consider that hair splitting?
I've already partially answered this question in reference to why, perhaps, God would not allow people into heaven. If you had a really good kingdom, wouldn't you want to make sure you're not letting insurrectionists in?
Sounds a lot like a bouncer controlling the scene in a cool club.
Secondly. He's God. He deserves your worship.
The rest all say the same thing, he's great so you should worship him. I am not really sure how this isn't accurate.
Thirdly, you were created to worship Him. It's about fitness for purpose and your fulfillment.
See post above. He's great and it's my purpose to worship him. Well that's a boring sounding existence.
Fourthly, He is glorified to a lost and dying world by your worship, so it's for the world's greatest good that you worship Him.
Again, his greatness is best served by my worship. Now, I am not even going to comment on the validity of the statement and the assumptions that are built in regarding the state of the world and the best use of resources.
So taking a few minutes out of ones day to thank God for all he has given you is that bad?
Why do you atheists feel the need to defiantly argue against something you don't even believe exists?
Oh, worship equals ass kissing.Only your first answer is worth darn. The rest all say the same thing, he's great so you should worship him.

I understand that an atheist doesn't believe. So, why would they care what a Christian does or says as long as it doesn't interfere with their lives? And, why would a group of atheists put up a billboard? Are there atheist help groups, to help with their lack of belief? Or, do they get together to complain about Christians?

If your god allows the murdered fifteen year old girl(for not believing) to go to hell, even considering the circumstances of her upbringing(being turned away from religion), while taking in the murderer(for believing), your god's priorities are explicitly "worshipping me is more important than taking the lives of my other children."
If you accept that, cool. But don't piss on our legs and tell us it's raining holy water. There's no love or mercy for the murdered girl. There is only mercy for those who quench this god's thirst for acknowledgement and praise. That is what is important to him, to hell with everything else.. literally.
But somehow that gets spun into "perfectly loving and just." Such strange notions of love and justice.
Now we've progressed to the I am not worthy to discuss this with you approach,
but just for the fun of it I will continue.
Your focus, with the exception of the first answer, focuses on my motivation for worshiping God. Not on his motivation for needing, demanding, requiring etc worship which all of the variations of the question did. That is why only your first answer addressed the question, as posed.
Got any other answers or is it simply not within a human's purview to question the motivation of God?
Incorrect. When did I ever mention your worth? I merely said that I couldn't care less what you think is a worthy answer.
Incorrect again. Every answer focused on God's potential reasons for wanting you to worship Him. Like I said. Go reread them. It may begin to sink in. But I'll help...
He deserves it. -- You don't think that He would want worship due to the fact that He deserves to be worshiped? Really?
You were created to worship Him. Fitness for purpose. Your fulfillment. -- You seriously don't see how God's motivation could reside in wanting His creation to do what He created it to do? Or that He would be motivated to see you fulfilled? Really?
Worshiping Him glorifies Him to a lost and dying world. It's for the world's greater good that you worship Him. -- You really don't see that God's motivation may, in part, reside in the desire to see the world blessed? Considering that Jesus came to be a selfless blessing to the world? Really?
And can you seriously not see that they are four different answers? Really? Let's see...
His benefit. Your benefit. The world's benefit...
Yep.. So repetitious...
Where did that even come from?
