I've been watching college basketball all day and ive noticed every game ive watched the arena is extremely louder than TBA - and TBA probably has more people in it.

Seriously, all I hear is our little student section going "OHHHHHHHH" when UGA has the ball. It literally sounds like maybe 30 people - what gives?

I know its UGA and all but we are a top-10 team - seriously

I know our arena is bigger but I watched the Memphis game today - they play in an NBA arena - and that place was rocking from start to finish.

Memphis' arena is smaller than ours.

they don't play in the Pyramid.

They play in the FedEx Forum. It holds 3000 less than Thompson-Boling.

The Pyramid only held around 20,000 anyway.

Huh. I guess I need to check my sources.
The 32 story Pyramid is the third largest pyramid in the world and soars even taller than the Statue of Liberty or the Taj Mahal. Managed and operated by SMG, this 21,000 seat sports and entertainment facility is home to the NBA Memphis Grizzlies and the University of Memphis Men's Basketball Program

Since I went to 5 Memphis games this year and they were ALL in FedEx Forum... I'd say I know what I am talking about.

They started playing there in 2004.

Well how was I supposed to know the website for the actual building would be full of misinformation?

Okay, so Memphis was a bad example.

But TBA still sounds a lot quieter (at least on tv) than almost all other arenas ive heard (on tv)

FedEx Forum hold 18,500ish for basketball games.

That is what I always thought too but I was just going off it's Wiki page (very reliable, I know:birgits_giggle:)

Today's game was the most packed it has been this year. Today won't compare with Feb 23 though.

Today's game had 18,600ish people at it, for reference purposes.

There were still quite a few empty seats up top, just spread out and not in clumps like usual.

That's not actual attendance (the one they announce). They announce attendance for tickets bought.

I promise 18600 is about exactly what it holds. I don't know the exact number, but its near 18600 and definitely in the 18,000's.

I was at the Tigers game today in the FED EX FORUM. The Pyramid is about to become a Bass Pro Shop.
