Here's where the bulk of his numbers came from:
Iowa=110
Texas Tech =213
Kansas= 427
Oklahoma ST= 151
Clemson = 134
Total from these games= 1,035
He didn't break 100 yards in any other game, including TN(67 yards).

What no OK poster has mentioned is that UT did not struggle passing or throwing. Admittedly our weakness on D was passing which does help Ok but if UT can stop the run without loading the box like Akron had to wouldn't that offset some of your passing gains?
OU's run game? Or lack of it against Akron. 100 yards total rushing and 3ypc.
They were lackluster against Akron and they have a handful of games started amongst their oline. This is not dismissing they have 2 excellent backs. The fact they do and still got them involved so little adds to the question.
You know, you called OU one dimensional, but when your team had a had a one dimensional day, you say they just didnt have to do it to win. Well, how about this, OU did not need to run to win? Clearly, right? You go with what works, and the pass game was basically non existent last year, we already know OU can run, so this was pleasing to the OU fan's eye. I dont know how much different your offense will be this year, but it better be like night & day in order to have a chance.
Exactly what I was thinking? Last years OL is gone like the wind. Maybe they will succeed in looking like a quality line, but my guess is their inexperience will get exposed early and often.
Sounds like the UT offensive line last year.OU's run game? Or lack of it against Akron. 100 yards total rushing and 3ypc.

Last years offense is gone as well. The "air raid" folks will say you can run out of that offense but that is only true once you are winning by 3 or more TDs and the opposing defense is out of gas.
So whether OU can actually run the ball is still in question IMO.
I like seeing other opposing fan base postings on VN to discuss some football but I haven't seen this many coming from one fan base before a game. I would say most are just here to stir up some ish from the posts I have read.
There are question marks for both teams that will be answered on Saturday. Both teams were different last year but I would say that OU has the right to feel confident since they beat UT last year. Neither side has a good outlook on how they will perform from just playing one game this season. I feel better about this years team than I did last year I think UT has a better shot at winning this game. I think it should be a better game for both sides than last year for sure. We will all see how things play out on Saturday! GBO!!!
It's just this latest wave, WS6. Up until today, the Sooners who came to talk were pretty classy. but this crew the last 12 hours or so, they're just punks.
I didn't mean to come off as ridiculing him, just giving numbers man. Didn't mean to upset
The reason I like our chances in this game is because our offensive strength will be in the passing game, which appears to be their D's weakness. UT's offensive strength is in the running game, which is also our D's strength. Just need to make sure we limit big plays on the ground for Dobbs, Hurd, and Kamara. I think our backs will be fine, but it all starts with how effective the passing game is. For all the talent on both sides, these two teams couldn't be more different.
