The guy sitting behind you with a chemo port, possibly seeing one of his last games tends to disagree as he is 10 times tougher than you are at this point in his life.
Hello. I was sitting in section K last night and a Vol fan about four rows in front of me was standing up and cheering for the Vols. The guy behind him politely asks him if he would sit down. He then says I am a VFL and cheering for my team. The fan then gets the cops to ask that man to sit down and he pleads his case to the cops saying he is cheering for his team. I had no problem with this man standing and cheering for the Vols. So why did the cops ask him to sit down? Didn't that man have the liberty of standing up and cheering for Tennessee? Thank you for your time.
Do you stand and cheer when our center is snapping the ball? Do you stand and cheer when the red hat is on the field for a TV timeout? Do you stand and cheer at the break between quarters?
You have yet to make any minor contribution to this thread besides childish quips my little sister would make. Try an actual opinion about the OP.
I stand up and cheer for the Vols the ENTIRE game! I always have since my first game in the 80's. I don't go to the game to sit and watch. I STAND, CHEER, YELL, SCREAM, JUMP UP and DOWN and SHOUT for TENNESSEE.
I do get quite when the Vols are on offense, but I still stand.
If this bothers you, maybe you should be a Kentucky fan because this type of behavior is frowned upon up there. But, not at UT STANDING in the STANDS and cheering for the VOlS is a long-STANDing tradition!! This is why, it's great to be a TENNESSEE VOLUNTEER!!!
I go to Neyland to STAND and cheer for the VOLS. I get there an hour before kickoff and I ALWAYS stay until the end of the game regardless of the score or outcome.
If I wanted to sit, I would stay at home and watch the game with my dog on the couch.
GBO!!!

Nobody is suggesting sitting the whole game. I think there's a disconnect here.
There's a good compromise in everything. Don't stand the whole game and don't sit the whole game. Problem solved, everybody is happy.

In that situation, of course you sit down. But how many cases are there that there are just people that are perfectly able to stand without any disability or illness in the stands? More than are not.
