Who does Pruitt play for?

Better hold up on the expectations. Butch already ruined this class. If he Salvage’s anything close to a 15-20 class he’s done miracle work already.

The problem is even if he finishes with a top 15 class, I will wonder if he missed on a prospect or 2 while splitting time with Bama. There’s just so many hours in a day.

Impossible, Another NC ring will wow potential recruits into coming here.

What part of he cant have any contact with a recruit during the dead period do you not understand. That's when he will be coaching at his old school.

Another person who doesn't know what the dead period means. He can call and text any recruit in the nation during the dead period. It simply means no face to face contact.

This is important. And shows the ignorance of JP ball washers. They have no clue what they're talking about, yet spew their venom against anyone who dare not ball wash.

He could be on the phone everyday recruiting for Tennessee.

I have never heard of a situation where a major football school hired a new coach, but the new coach remained at the original school, an arch rival school, to help them for another 6 weeks.

Why would the new coach want to do that?
Why would the head coach (Saban) allow it?
Why would the new employer (UT) allow it?
Why are we putting up with it?

Don't make excuses or lame justifications. We need all his time and energy here now. We have lost the fan base, recruits, and our reputation.

Today, is our new coach for us or is he for Alabama?

He said he is doing it for the kids and he needs to finish what he started

I'm 3fn5. Lemme guess I gotta be 43 in order to be a real fan? Gtfo with that old man get off my lawn chit. For being 43 you really been acting like a child about all this.

What makes you think I'm 43? I am well older than that. Hilarious Gundy speech there btw. I'm surprised you didn't throw "I'm a man" in there.

P.S. I'm not the one in this thread calling people "dumb" and "stupid". That would be you.

Now run along youngster.

99 Fiesta....lordy.

Wrong. Please research before you speak. You have no clue what you're talking about.

Dead period

The dead period is the most restrictive. No in-person contact is allowed, even if a prospect makes a visit to the college campus. Written and electronic communications are still permitted.

Would you like to apologize now?

I'm 73 what does that have to do with anything.

It's been repeated ad nauseum in this thread, but this is simply untrue. You can have electronic communication during dead period. You can call or text any recruit you wish.

Over the next several months I believe we will see some cancer cut away from the AD and FB program at UT. I hope "fans" like 14VolFan88, OrangeSoddyDaisy, and VolArmy74 are part of the cut away.

Awww wittle snowflake. You snowflakes beat anything I've ever seen at a Berekly rally.

"What!?!? You aren't ball washing an unproven coach who is coaching Alabama when he could be calling recruits for Tennessee?!?!? You're no real fan then!"

If you’ve never heard of this situation, you most not be much of a college football fan. Scott Frost is doing the same thing right now despite taking the Nebraska job. Kirby Smart coached Bama after taking the Georgia job. There are plenty of other examples if you take the time to look it up. I don’t know that I’d want a coach that bails on his team and his players right before they’re getting ready to play for a national championship. Pruitt sat it many of these Alabama players’ homes and made a commitment to them and their parents. I’m glad to see he is keeping that commitment and being loyal to his players.

I literally have no idea in what context I should take your statement here.

I'm was speaking to the person that was calling people names while proclaiming he's a man, he's 35 and accusing others of acting childish because they disagree with him.

1) As the head coach at UT, Pruitt is hiring some quality assistants from teams in the current playoff, ie Kevin Sherrer at Georgia

2) As defensive coordinator at Alabama, there is an opportunity to coach against an opponent that has a depleted coaching staff, ie Kevin Sherrer at Georgia, or in the least a new subordinate.

Is this a conflict of interest?
Hold the hell up. Quality assistants. Our offensive coordi stir has never called plays, our defensive coordinator has never been a coordinator, and our head coach has never been a head coach. What exactly are the chances of that working?

Name the others that don't involve Saban. Scott Frost is currently rethinking his situation because he said it was causing tension trying to balance that and his Nebraska responsibilities.

Every other coach who moved so far this season is not coaching their old team. David Cutcliffe did not coach us in the national championship and he shouldn't have. He had a new job that needed a lot of work.

Why should this even matter? If anything it would be incredible good press for TN if he coaches the games and his defense shuts out Clemson.

It would be like if you were in a touring band as a bass player. Your last shows are at a huge festival. But before this you just announced you'd be the lead singer of a well known band too. But this band is recording their 3rd album and in the studio.

You can still go in the studio and record vocals, etc.. AND allowed to play your last touring performance.

This isn't a lateral move.

After decommits we have the 27th class in the nation. Seven spots is nothing, he could make that up with 2 four stars.
