I've never met Soddy and I assure you I'm not he/she.

I am going to assume you're both under 30 and have no understanding of anything other than Alabama being the team that gives us our annual beating and that we should just know our role and accept that.

I was at the Fiesta bowl in 99. Just because I'm not going to act like a child over a non-issue doesn't mean I accept getting beat by Alabama. Step away from the ledge soddy/army. College football does not define your life or you as a person. Deep breaths. It's going to be OK.

Well yes, he did, and they are not coaching in their bowl games. He was getting ripped yesterday by CSU fans for taking two of their coaches 10 days before their bowl while preaching about commitment to the kids. They aren't being allowed to stay at CSU to coach, they are working (as they should be) for Tennessee.

But we've been assured that kids don't matter unless they're playing for the NC.

Yikes. He obviously wants all the coaches on board to recruit before the dead period which makes sense. But CSU's bowl game is within the recruiting period.

So what exactly MUST be done in the next month that can't be handled just as a well in January while allowing him to fulfill previous obligations? There are long term strategic objectives to consider when making this decision such as negative recruiting optics if he were to bail on the kids at Bama, not fulfill his obligations to Coach Saban, etc. Those possible negatives far outweigh what we lose by letting him coach in CFP.

There are 0 negatives to him not aiding Alabama. O. None.

Do you think he's broken down film of every single player on the team yet? He should be doing that. He should know every single thing about UT before December 20th. He should know every single weakness, every single spot that needs help.

But he already said he was punting early signing day. That tells me he doesn't have time to do this job and the Bama job.

Scott Frost said his attempt to coach USF in their bowl game and coach Nebraska is creating a touchy situation.

Imagine if Frost was staying to coach at Nebraska's most bitter rival.

Fiesta in 99 eh? I'll go ahead and still call you new blood then. You probably think Florida is our biggest rival.

I have never heard of a situation where a major football school hired a new coach, but the new coach remained at the original school, an arch rival school, to help them for another 6 weeks.

Why would the new coach want to do that?
Why would the head coach (Saban) allow it?
Why would the new employer (UT) allow it?
Why are we putting up with it?

Don't make excuses or lame justifications. We need all his time and energy here now. We have lost the fan base, recruits, and our reputation.

Today, is our new coach for us or is he for Alabama?

Apparently, he works for Alabama still. Every ounce of passion in him is for Alabama.

He's nothing but a Bam and that's all he'll ever be.

Over the next several months I believe we will see some cancer cut away from the AD and FB program at UT. I hope "fans" like 14VolFan88, OrangeSoddyDaisy, and VolArmy74 are part of the cut away.

If our recruiting class falls short of expectations I will question his decision to stay on with Bama through the playoffs.

Better hold up on the expectations. Butch already ruined this class. If he Salvage’s anything close to a 15-20 class he’s done miracle work already.
