I'm with you on Mullen. I'm not sure he's a strong enough of a recruiter to start with, but he could prove me wrong.Contrary to things I've read on here, I don't see the Mullen being a QB guru talk. Take away 2 yrs he had Dak, his pass offense has been at best average. Since Dak they have been like #91 and #116 in pass offense. Fitzgerald got worse as a passer from 2016-2017 to 2017-2018. That's when he should be taking that next step and he hasn't. Guess we will see how Frank's and Fields look under him, but I just don't see it.
I agree and his record vs LSU and Bama is concerning. Yeah, talent differences and all, but if somehow you're the better coach, don't you get a few upsets? Especially against Les and LSU?
He's a good coach. Steady 8, maybe 9 win guy. That's not enough in Gainesville.
Jimbo might run into the same situation in College Station, but I think he can win there. Especially after Saban steps down. 10 wins, which is very doable with his resume and LSU being down, will buy him some time.
