Where are all the Chryst followers tonight

Agreed, I don't think it would be a major drop off. Mostly a change in what one does well vs the other. Now, if we can finish Candy, this season is a successful one. Not great, but these two bottom feeders we should always be above. Ready to use them like we always have, a rug to keep our shoes clean.

Amen! We finally agree on something. Let's win out and finish 8-5. GBO

Now do YAC between the two.... Guarantee you one will outnumber the other by a huge margin. Comparing the yards per attempt stat with using yards after catch clearly shows how you want to slant your bias.

I personally don’t put a lot of stock into the yards per attempt stat because you can’t tell anything from it besides total yards. I have always said this when comparing Bray to Worley to Dobbs and now, to JG, that YAC is the most telling stat when it comes to the passing game.

Now I’m asking a legit question in all seriousness, but what do you think is a bigger stat when comparing? Yards per attempt or Yards after Catch? I really don’t care how QB’s get their pass yards but at the same time, people can’t trash or praise a QB for having a monster arm when the majority of the passing yards and yes, yards per attempt come from passes close to the line of scrimmage where receivers have plenty of YAC
You can’t use either by itself. The WRs won’t get good YAC with poorly delivered balls in most cases. This is exactly why the QB efficiency ratings came out, using a formula that incorporates multiple metrics to evaluate a QB. The part that seems to be missing from our passing game this year is the intermediate throws from 10-20 yards. We either throw short or throw long. Manning, Clausen, etc seemed to have more intermediate throws.

Yea, well to be fair and I know it doesn't make it better, but some of the guys he's calling out acted liked 8 year olds. So, whatever, I ain't in it and I got my popcorn ready.
I get that, and I agree. It just blows me away that some people's first instinct after a big win is to call someone out on a message board. Let's just celebrate and enjoy it

Dude.....JG is the leader of this team and our starting QB... Not in dispute for me....BUT

Watch the replay of this game--and please NOTICE how late he is in throwing the ball.....how he throws the ball just a little behind his receivers too many times....and how he UNDERTHROWS EVERY deep ball he launches.... And I don't know why. It's just true... He also, IMO, struggles to recognize coverages and blitzes in his PRE-SNAP reads....

I don't think that I've ever posted that I think that KC is a better leader...or is a better QB....or should be the starting QB.... BUT....

In his time at Stanford...and in the Bama game....it appears that KC is the much more decisive QB....he makes up his mind quicker, knows where to throw the ball and he delivers it much quicker than JG....

I honestly DON'T CARE who's playing QB as long as we keep winning......

the bama game.......which point because in the 2nd half he didnt do squat. so please stop bringing up that game. if he brought us back, then yeah....maybe something. sheesh

Not stating JG shouldn't start but for instance last week it would have been nice to see if Chryst could have jump started the stagnant offensive performance last week against Charlotte.
Just stop, the coaches owe you nothing when it comes to who they play. Stop trying to suggest they need to show you anything.

JG had a good night. I think Chryst would have won the game too. The team played well across the board, collectively, together. Why you trying to hate on Chryst?

And everytime the TEAM loses the same guys want to come on here trumpeting how it's all on JG, so why cant they just sit back and be quiet?

And the offensive performance against Charlotte speaks volumes as well.

This is the same thing that happened right after the Auburn game. Somebody posted a thread about JG's performance and how the people calling for Chryst were wrong and negative. Then the offense went downhill again for a few games.

5 wins......more wins than last yr and JG has beaten better teams than KC has ever beaten record-wise. let it go.......haters

Compare his ypa to other qbs at UT. You must be a new fan. What UT qb was throwing downfield all day?

Yall kill me with this made up short pass thing. Where do you think Brady throws 90% of his passes?
Agree. No qb throw over 30% downfield. It’s all about moving chains. JG will fine. Fans just like finding negatives. And never like to talk about what he does well. That’s taking care of ball and throwing ints

Are you new here? Because after every loss the same people put all blame on JG without taking into account that it's a TEAM game.

No, are you new? QB shoulders the wins and losses to many people, many of the time. That's how it is and that's how it always has been. You are just hating on Chryst. He is a good qb.

Come on out of hiding and keep your schedule. It's not a football weekend without some griping about JG. I know he set a record tonight but don't let that dissuade you. Rise above it and tell us how we need Chryst to achieve success.
living vicariously through UT football is dangerous

Like I said. Two games. Obviously winning is the goal but he hasn't had any consistency this year. Guess you're the stupid one if you can't see that.
nah the dumb one is you. they're paying some guy named Jeremy Pruitt over a million dollars to make these decisions, yet here u are going against them....as if u know any better. i didnt see where Fulmer even considered you.

Guess what? It's a message board. People have discussions and state their opinion. It's always easier to support the current state rather than question it. I'm not a blind follower like you.

Edit: Also, would you say the same thing for Butch Jones and his staff being paid millions?
