Never said that. Read again. I said Butch WILL cost us a game in addition to the TEAM losing to FL and "Bama.

Truth is, we play Bama every year and as long as Saban is there, no easy road to the playoffs but this year, the chances are as good as they will most likely be.
If we don't top 9 wins (barring some catastrophe, injury bug or injustice) it will definitely put doubt in my mind for the future.

I think the odds are in favor of you being pleasantly surprised. Both for this year and for 2017. We will lose a lot of talent and experience but we have talent stacking up, and to practice against elite will help on the experience part.

Don't get me wrong game speed is different than practice speed, but it helps going against talent that is trying to make you better.

Jump higher Vols.

You used both the terms "this team" and "yet".
It's simple - If Butch is worth one loss on top of 2 teams in the SEC always having equal or more talent, then there is no "yet" for "this team". Barring anything unusual, I see no reason this team is not as good as it gets for 10 wins as any team in our near future.

Offense: downfield passing game

Defense: DT depth/DTs who can consistently collapse the pocket

Special Teams: Field goals over 40 yards.

Ok, so we lose to Florida and Bama again. Who's the 3rd or even 4th loss?

Look, I'm no fan of Butch's sideline coaching/gameday management from last year. I thought it was awful and cost is both the OU and Florida games. But there is no OU on this year's schedule and Florida comes to Neyland without a QB this year. The odds that this team improves by 2 games and gets to 10-2 in 2016 are great IMO. Just don't see the negativity at this point.

1.Passing game
2. Pass protection (hopefully our line solves it, the spring has been reassuring)
3. Finishing games. We were close all year long and we should be better than last season...but can we pull it out?

I am convinced that Dobbs and other aspects of the passing game will cost us the National Championship and possibly the SEC. I am equally convinced opponents will have key defincies in the same area for the majority of our schedule. Bama and Florida both lose their QB and must play in Neyland . Grier,the steroid addict at Florida, single handedly orchestrated a miraculous end of the fourth comeback. He is gone. So is Henry and Coker from Bama. We should be favorite in at least 10 games. We could easily win 12. I am most concerned about the SEC game rematch with Bama. Go Vols

Does not compute... This team is a team of winners. Time for coaching to stand out.

Dobbs production will be from the coaching he receives ..Dormady sits and waits..
