What Traditions will Kiffin keep?

It's the Tennessee Circle Drill, not the Tennessee Drill, and if some Nazi "I hate marching band" coach was hired, it wouldn't affect the existence of the Circle Drill.

I do not think they were talking about the band. We are talking about a drill they do in practice. You must have been in the band or somthing.

Hate to be sacreligous but at this point what do the maxims matter?
At 5-7 its not like the team paid close attention to them in the first place.

I hope he takes back the tradition of Neyland being the toughest SOB of a place to play for visiting teams. I hope he brings back the tradition of UT fans in their seats well past halftime of rival games against Florida & Bama at home. I hope he is able to enhance the pre-game festivities to get the crowd into a frenzy before the band creates the T and not just when they create the T. I want the tradition of Neyland rocking at all hours on gameday!!

The Vol Walk, the Maxims, the Salute to the Hill, Running through the T, the Pregame Band Show, the Last Tackle, etc. have become traditions because they are meaningful to Tennessee fans and players. They are part of the game day experience, and to drop any of them is to lose a part of that experience. We have one of if not the best game day experiences in college football, why would anyone want to diminish it?

I have heard stories all my life of how non UT fans came to their first UT game and became hooked for life because of the atmosphere of Neyland Stadium. Then there is the attraction to recruits. I have heard player after player cite the traditions and the game day atmosphere as a significant influence on their choice of UT.

Call me a sentimentalist old schooler if you want, I do not care, just do not mess with what is Tennessee Football.

Take the name off the jeresy! Trash the orange pants...come out with a medium sized helmet stripe.....

I don't care what he does with the road uniforms, but he better not change the home uniforms. The orange jersey, white pants with two orange stripes and the classic helmet with the "T" must stay the same.

I would just as soon forget most of the traditions. Yeah, running through the 'T' needs to stay but the maxums no.

As was stated here earlier. The maxims define how Tennessee football is played - by the greatest coach in our historty.

The maxims stay (I hope). We just need to actually implement them on the field.

I'd like to see the Tennessee walking horse make a come back. I also hope he bans all orange uniforms forever, they guarantee a loss.

OK, I tried to let it go with a one word, three letter response, but I can't leave it at that.

When I was 5 years old (42 years ago) and my Dad was carrying me into Neyland Stadium on his shoulders- and 30 something years later when I was doing the same with my five year old (now a freshman at UT), and even now, taking my seven year old in for games, it was not then, and is not now, all about winning ball games.

If that's all it is for you, you are missing out on something.

yep

I think it'd be cool to do like an orange square checkerboard helmet reward system. Like what Richt has with the dog bones at UGA, and the buckeyes at OSU, and all those other ones.

Just tiny little orange squares or something, haha. Hell, idk.

Oh god no! I HATE HATE HATE those damn things! I think it's very "high school-ish" and it makes the uni's look ugly as sin.

The walking horse was nice but I have seen it fall a few times too, not a pretty site...

I hate the helmet stickers. Why mess with perfection? All we need to bring back are the "W's" to the Hill again!

i tend to agree with all the Bob Kesling talk...i know the sports are different but i spent all last year trying to figure out who 'Jamar Smith' was.
