He has alot more to be concerned of then these traditions you guys speak of losing. The Vol Walk, Neylands Maxims, Carrying your small child on your shoulders to a game is a tradition? wake up people he is not concerned about that trivial BS. His concern is bringing us back the tradition of being an SEC and National power. I could care less about the before mentioned "traditions" I want him to restore our once historic program that Fulmer has dragged thru the depths of mediocrity the past 10 years.

You dismiss The Maxims, The Vol Walk, and thousands of family traditions which have grown up around this program. So when you speak of an "historic program" to what history do you refer? Tell me it's just not the record books.

-Our uniforms are too bland for his wife's tastes. She is already in touch with some of New York's finest designers working to incorporate more *bling*.

NO,under any circumstance so the uniform be messed w/,unless he plans on wearing the orange pants more often

Because killing that "trivial BS" worked out so well for Bill Callahan, Kelvin Sampson, Tyrone Willingham and Ray Perkins (who Callahan actually replaced as OC in Oakland) and every other coach has come in to any program and tried to be "bigger" than the program.

The first thing he will do is get rid of the ridiculous, redneck "WHOOOOOO" after Rocky Top.

That piece of absolute dog crap tradition wasn't there when I was in school (1986-1990). And it blows.

It's the Tennessee Circle Drill, not the Tennessee Drill, and if some Nazi "I hate marching band" coach was hired, it wouldn't affect the existence of the Circle Drill.

Tennessee Drill = Football practice drill featuring one on one contact.

Tennessee Circle Drill = Pride of the Southland Band drill featuring ever changing circle shaped formations.

These are two completely separate things

Of course...Guess I just wasn't thinking. I see Drill and my mind immediately goes to band. I was wondering why Kiffin would have a hand in that...Oh well. Thanks for the correction :good!:

I wouldn't call this a tradition, but, I'd love to see us get rid of the "get a lead and sit on it" mentality. I'd also love to see us "not call off the dogs" if we get up. big on someone.

I think it'd be cool to do like an orange square checkerboard helmet reward system. Like what Richt has with the dog bones at UGA, and the buckeyes at OSU, and all those other ones.

Just tiny little orange squares or something, haha. Hell, idk.
I'd rather see orange skulls. :)

I'm a young cat, but didn't Doug Dickey (an outsider) establish some traditions that are still alive today? Endzone, T on helmet (I think)?

I know he designed the current "Power T," but I believe there were already "block T's" on the helmets before.
