What Other Message Boards are Saying-SC Edition

Lot of complaining about kicking field goal instead of going for it, blaming the kid who touched the punt (apparently he's a highly regarded recruit who has disappointed), questioning the decision not to go for block on punt, not fielding punt and having more than one guy deep on the punt.

I honestly thought we should've gone for it on 4th and 1 rather than the 47-yd FG. 47 yards is no chip shot, even with Cimaglia, and the conversion rate on 4th and 1 is very high. From an expected value perspective, pretty sure going for it there is the right move.

SC's situation was different b/c they had 4th and long. You have to go for the FG there.

Agreed. I would've stuck Crouch in there and done the hand-off. Was really surprised we didn't actually. Most teams I watched today went for it on 4th. Heck, Auburn went for the 2pt conversion after their first touchdown of the game.

Well if it's any consolation, I live somewhere that no one cares about college ball or football in general.

in the US? everywhere i’ve traveled (been everywhere in the country besides the mid and northwest, alaska and hawaii) has at least cared about the NFL. but it does seem like the rabid college fan is uniquely southern.

It was 4th and 2

No he didn’t. Check your facts
You're right its 7 straight games he was playing QB on the drives that produced the winning points of each game. Vs Miss St last year was 10-3 when he entered, we won 20-10, he was in on the drive in the 3rd quarter that scored the 3 we needed to be more than them at 10. I'll let you do the next 6 games.

Yeah. I'm in Clarksville, a military town. Closest football city is Nashville, but out here no one cares. I'm moving to the desert in TX in a few months too lol, even worse.

All I know is we were average QB play away form blowing them out so they can stfu and take the L

i didn’t think he was the biggest issue. the throwing over guys heads is infuriating, but it’s not like he makes bad decisions. the secondary needs shamburger and mccollough badddd. O line didn’t impress, d line looked better than pruitt put on.

it’s been interesting living in SC for our downfall. they don’t consider history or records at all. they’ve been bad forever, we’ve been bad recently- makes no difference to them. really irrational fanbase, they expect the same things we do with nothing to base it on. it’s easier to talk to bama or florida guys than them.

Oline impressed me. When we actually ran they were gashing SCAR. Plus JG had plenty of time to throw all game. What more do to want from them? Lol

And once again facts don't mean a thing to you.

If I'm the SC AD, I'm setting up back channel communications with Mike Leach today. Pay the buyout and land the Pirate, no matter the cost. It's their only hope.

Try living in Georgia. The qb from Wake was gonna win the heisman and NC, then when he sit out they didn't want him anyway. Then the wb who started yesterday was gonna light the sec up, and after he got benched, "Bennett is this years Burrow". Real delusion from dawg fans.

You notice he didn't say JG "LED" the drives. He was now "playing qb". He subtly changes his arguments when he realizes how utterly absurd they sound
I don't care how it sounds, the fact is that he was QB1 on 7 straight game winning drives. You can poo all of that you want but the facts are there.
