I just went back and read his posts, which were 90 percent negative while giving props to all opponents and was like, nah…I'm just using logic here.... it's never happened that a coach, in his second season with a team, after a mediocre to decent first season has ever beat a ranked team and 2 cupcakes and ever go on to have a good rest of the season...
See Alabama 2008.
Who gives af ? Really dude who the hell are you to challenge any Vol who has an ounce of pride left ? We are 3-0 games are played on the field Idgaf what you say or think. If we are 5-0 going into Bama take your Bama loving ass to their side and stay there forever. I BELIEVE for the first time in a long freaking time we are back to being able to play with anyone and anywhere. That game is in OUR building and the gumps... Well I got double Gauldens for they ass tooOMG, beat 2 terrible cupcakes, a mediocre Pitt team with a one legged back up QB (in overtime), and then even by there own fans admission a BAD Florida team, and now you are ready to knock off Alabama? Alabama is in a whole other universe. Beating bad teams doesn't make you a giant slayer all of a sudden. You will see the separation that Georgia and Alabama have on the rest of the SEC in several weeks. Point is is that TN and the others are playing for a distant 3rd place in the SEC with a wide separation from 1 and 2.
Tillman was an ankle too according to reports.Ouch! That injury is painful if true.. about a month or so recovery (for us non athletes).. really hurts.. could’ve been much much worse, though, if true
That’s amazing to me lol.. I did my orthopedic rotation in nursing school almost 20 years ago, so I’m pretty behind the timesTillman was an ankle too according to reports.
Sports medicine is pretty amazing these days. Depending on severity both could be full go by Saturday.
When I was young, I rolled my ankle sliding in baseball. It was awful. (Not necessarily a recommendation) I used DMSO a horse liniment and was able to pitch a week later. Methods and medicine are MUCH better.
If Matt Corrals forward progress was stopped last year in the strip and return that was but wasn't, then 100% Wright's forward progress was stopped. In fairness to Wright, wasn't one of his fumbles when he was held up by a bunch of defenders while they ripped the ball away from him? I thought his forward progress was stopped and the refs should have blown the play dead.
After the past decade of continuous nut kicks, I’d be ecstatic to finish 3rd in the SEC!OMG, beat 2 terrible cupcakes, a mediocre Pitt team with a one legged back up QB (in overtime), and then even by there own fans admission a BAD Florida team, and now you are ready to knock off Alabama? Anyone happen to catch the notes from the CBN/UF presser? I am hearing he shed some light on why AR is not being used as a mobile threat as much. Also hearing that he mentioned it is not that loud. Hmm interesting if that is indeed true.
He didn’t. But whatever gets people going, run with it.
I found the quote. I guess he didn't downplay the loudness. I was like man surely that wasn't said and couldn't find the actual interview anywhere. Which is why I asked here. I was thinking maybe its on a paysite and I am not paying for that information.
Tennessee would beat Utah by 50.Two parts of Florida will be the best TN has played all year; the RB’s and the OL. But that’s about it. The AR that showed up against LSU last year and Utah this year, seems to be a distant anomaly. And truth be known, something is up with his right ankle, physically. He hurt it against KY and aggravated it vs SFL. Take AR’s legs away and you take a huge part of his effectiveness. Injury seems to have already minimized him.
Florida’s defense played very well versus KY and very well for the 1st half vs Utah, but they were complete garbage vs USF and for the second half of Utah.
A question that we may need to ask, how do we think a Florida-Pitt matchup or a Tennessee-Utah matchup would fair? I know applying transitive property to games and matchups doesn’t usually work, but it’s interesting to consider here. I think those matchups would be close, competitive games. So then, why wouldn’t TN-FL be the same?
Ultimately, I think TN’s home field advantage and the fact that their offense is the best of the 4 units on the field, means they win this game. But I do think Florida may have enough pride, mixed with good athletes, to keep it relatively close. Florida is also very battle tested already; three games that were nail biters, I also recognize TN was battle tested at Pitt.
In the end, it’s just Tennessee’s year.
