OMG, beat 2 terrible cupcakes, a mediocre Pitt team with a one legged back up QB (in overtime), and then even by there own fans admission a BAD Florida team, and now you are ready to knock off Alabama? Alabama is in a whole other universe. Beating bad teams doesn't make you a giant slayer all of a sudden. You will see the separation that Georgia and Alabama have on the rest of the SEC in several weeks. Point is is that TN and the others are playing for a distant 3rd place in the SEC with a wide separation from 1 and 2.
The Bama that needed refs to escape a mediocre team in austin?

"Surpise people until Georgia smacks them into reality" has to be the dumbest line.
They aren't surprising people already ranked #11. If they surprise anyone more than that it will be taking Georgia to the wire or flat out beating them.

I am worried about the running game, Small and Samson had what looked like minor injuries and Wright has fumbled in 2 games. I see 2 stuffed runs and 3rd and 10's in our near future. Maybe Huepel will use the sideline passes to open up the downfield stuff? They need to put 45 on them and hope the defense hangs on. UT 45 UF 35
In fairness to Wright, wasn't one of his fumbles when he was held up by a bunch of defenders while they ripped the ball away from him? I thought his forward progress was stopped and the refs should have blown the play dead.

On my lunch break so don’t have time to research.
Is Tilman injured? Small? Sampson? I thought Tilman and Snalll were ok but Heup was taking precautions.

It’s been a while since my nerves have kicked in on a Monday over a TN-FL game! I hope this is similar to Manning’s soph yr when we destroyed Bama’. Come out hot and blow out FL.

Current indications are that Small and Tillman will be ready and were held out for precaution. Not as much news on Sampson. Looked like a twisted ankle.

Mark my words, this is likely to be a one possession game. The good news is, Heup has instilled confidence in the team that they can win in that environment. I think we get it done, but don’t think for a minute we blow these guys out.

Love this one:
-Neyland is ready to erupt. That stadium will be channeling a decade and a half of hate. I don't know that there will be a more hostile environment in college football this year. Realistically, I think it is going to get ugly.
Came here to say this.

This guy really gets it. He passes the vibe check.

That game was going to be interesting before the Texas result.

They’ll be on week 7 without a bye and on the 3rd leg of their most difficult stretch of the season starting at Arkansas. If you’re picking a game that Alabama could drop this year, then we are definitely near the top of the list.

In fact a win over Alabama and a loss to Georgia is our most likely playoff eligibility path. (Still low, but a chance!)

Call could have went either way IMO, I saw the ball come out before he went down but can't tell when the whistle was blown.

Ouch! That injury is painful if true.. about a month or so recovery (for us non athletes).. really hurts.. could’ve been much much worse, though, if true

Seems legit.

Just beat them both.

While this game is super important, I don’t think the season and the future of this program rides on whether we win or lose like some say. If we win, we could just as easily muck it up two weeks later by losing in Death Valley or losing to Kentucky at home at the end of October.

Winning this game is more important for the fan psyches than it is for the season. As long as we win 2/3 of Florida, LSU, and Kentucky, we’re right on schedule with the rebuild.

Speaking of cupcakes what about AL? UT ST /UL Monroe are terrible. Texas took them to the wire. Mainly on lack of WR play for AL. GA on the other hand is on a whole different level than basically anyone else in CFB. You would think they would have needed a couple more weeks to really find themselves. Geez they are playing out of their minds. They are just dominating folks. I gotta say that I like our chances much better vs AL than GA.

Going to be crazy if we get to Alabama and Georgia and BOTH games feature two Top 5 ranked teams !!!

Nice to read Florida fan base comments that sound a lot like us in years past. I can't remember the last time Florida went into this game with the fan base having the attitude this game is more likely to be a loss than a win. But Florida can't get ready for Saturday's noise. I predict it will be Neyland Loud as in OU 2015. As Baker Mayfield said in 2016, "Last year when we went to play Tennessee in Neyland Stadium, that was probably the best game experience I've had and probably will ever have. That's a different type of loud. I can't even describe it. It was unbelievable."
