What Other Message Boards Are Saying: Bowling Green Edition

I'm just glad you guys stepped in and picked up the game.
Hopefully the money is good and the traveling fans have fun.
I wasn't sure who we may have gotten but was happy when I saw BG.

Many of our fans aren't, we lost a home game with South Carolina State and thus only play 5 games on our home field, two of those are weeknight games in November which many fans dislike.

However, I'm always excited to see how our football team stacks up against the traditional powers. We embrace the challenge and figure our team can only get better from playing better programs.

How well do you think your offense will do against our D?

I think there will be decent success. Just a brief overview of each position:

QB:
Matt Johnson - Led the team to a MAC Championship in 2013, passed for 3,500 yards and 25 TDs that season to only 7 INTs. Hurt last year in opener vs. Western Kentucky but still managed 350 yards and 3 TDs.

WR:
Roger Lewis - Over 1,000 yards as a freshman, named first-team all-MAC. Former Ohio State commit who backed out due to personal issues and landed at BG. He's got NFL skill.

Ronnie Moore - Slot guy who is used in screens and mid-range passing game, also returns kicks. Speedy and elusive. Was recruited by Butch Jones while at Cincinnati and de-committed after Jones left. He'll be out the first half having to serve the remainder of a suspension from the Camellia Bowl.

Robbie Rhodes - Baylor transfer, 5-star recruit out of high school and top-10 on ESPN 300. First year in the system after sitting out last year, will split time with Moore in the slot.

Ryan Burbrink - Possession guy who has good chemistry with Johnson. He's short but crafty and can make plays with his feet.

Chris Gallon - Returning after missing last two years from injury. He has height and speed and expects to be a factor this year.

Gehrig Dieter - SMU transfer, rangy kid with good hands and speed. He has decent height and has the Indiana state record for receiving yards in a game.

RB:
Travis Greene - Broke the school rushing record in 2013, had 12 TDs last year even with numerous injuries. Former WR converted to RB under Dave Clawson. Has open field speed and decent size.

Fred Coppet - 4-star recruit from Florida, more of a home run threat in the running game than Greene. Split time last year with Greene but should see more playing this year.

Donovan Wilson - Georgia Tech transfer with good size and speed, he sat out last year.

OL:
Second most experienced group in FBS, they actually lost weight this summer to better suit Babers' up-tempo style of play. Better in pass protection than run blocking.

Hey no problem friend. I appreciate everyone's kind words. I was already surfing message boards like crazy every week anyways, figured I may as well start reporting back.
