The 98 Arkansas game when Clint fumbled. Neyland turned into an insane asylum and I was hooting and hollering like I'd just won the lottery.

Single moment was watching us recover the Stoerner fumble. The whole stadium felt like the game was lost until that play. But as soon as we recovered, it went nuts and we had no doubt anyone was stopping Henry from running it down the field to win.
Was there place erupted, everyone knew we were gona ram it in the end zone after the fumble.

1. my dad taking me to my first game in early 90’s. After we got through the gate my dad turned left so we could walk around to our section. I didn’t say anything to him but I walked straight into the tunnel and stood there in awe as I saw Neyland/Shields-Watkins field with my own eyes for the first time. I will never forget that feeling and how proud I was to be a Vol!! Especially since I grew up I mobile, AL having to listen to those idiots. This is #1 for me by a decent margin.
2. Sneaking into Neyland every Sunday morning for months after I moved to Knox in August 2001 to read the newspaper in the north end zone being the only person in the stadium and just soaking it all in. I still have a picture of the field covered in snow. Was beautiful.
3. Sitting in the bama student section with some friends from Mobile that were at UA decked out in all my orange for the 5OT game. Bammers throwing ice and cups at me every time I stood up to signal first down or a TD. Glorious.
4. I can’t believe this one hasn’t been mentioned...the 2001 game at Florida that was played last game of the year bc of 9/11. 17.5 point underdogs, in the swamp, at night, for the SEC East title, and a trip to the Rose Bowl for the NC assuming we won the SECCG 😡. What a game! Travis Stephens lit them up all night and maybe my favorite Vol qb Casey Clausen leading the Vols to victory. Iirc, that was Spurrier’s last game in the swamp too. Haha
5. The Miracle at South Bend. Epic.
6. Heath Shuler and the Vols at uga to start season 4-0 under interim Fulmer.
7. The 41-14 curb stomping put on bama in 95.
8. The OT win at LSU when Gerald Riggs bulldozed into the end zone for the win.
9. Tee Martin at usce setting a NCAA record by not having any incompletions. Think he was like 28-28 passing or somewhere in that range.
10. 6OT game vs Ark in Neyland. My man Casey Clausen to Witten for the W.

Sitting on my dads lap watching tn/notre dame and some guy returns a blocked kick right before half for UT..and dad said “TN’s going to win this game”. I was too young to know much about ball but I knew he was a liar..and miracously I was proven wrong.

Mine is the 1989 Ole Miss game when Chuck Webb ran for 294. They were going around the stadium collecting money for Chucky Mullins, who was paralyzed earlier that year. I put all the cash I had on me in the bucket - $14. Also two paratroopers landed onto the field during pregame, and my best friend (who I have known since birth) was with me at his first and only UT game ever. Watching his amazement at the pagentry and atmosphere was priceless. Just an all around fantastic day for me. Sadly my $14 wasn't quite enough long term.

My best memory was when we played Bama at home in 1982 and beat them. Last Neyland game coached by Bear Bryant. We won 35-28 and snapped an 11-game losing streak.

I was two months preggers with Kid #1 and in the UT Concert Choir. We sang at halftime, and even though Dr. Stutzenberger was technically directing us, it was really Dr. Julian, and I for one was scared witless. I don’t remember much of the first half due to nerves, but the second half was great. Andy Cockrell, Fuad Reveiz, Willie Gault, Mike Terry, Reggie White; what a game. Some kind soul has posted the full video, including halftime, and my kids died laughing at my giant goggle glasses and floofy hair.

The fans tore down the goalposts and danced on Cumberland, but I wasn’t there. I was probably back home throwing up. lol
That is a terrific story! Time flies!

Attending the 85 game vs Auburn when the Tigers came to Neyland ranked #1 in the country. UT knocked Bo out of the game. He didn't want anymore! It was too physical for him! AU 20 BIG NASTY ORANGE 38

UT wasn't even ranked. They go on to beat #15 Bama at Legion Field and #2 Miami in the Sugar Bowl to post a 9-1-2 record. UT finished the season at #8 in the country! Before the Sugar Bowl, Jimmy Johnson was pleading his case for a #1 ranking after they beat us. LOL They got beat down 35-7, Ken Donahue was the best D-Coordinator we have ever had, in my opinion. I hope Pruitt takes his place as our HC!!!

BO KNOWS THE SLAP DOWN OF THE BIG ORANGE!!! =)

My SECOND FAVORITE WOULD BE UT vs VANDY only because UT finishes up season as SEC CHAMPS and I got a PIECE OF THE GOAL POST from that game!!!
I was at the Auburn and the Miami game! Oh mercy!

First ever night game at Neyland: 1972 vs Penn State... My Dad gave two tickets to one of his workers, who said at halftime 'if UT wins, I'll name my first born Big Orange'. A comeback 28-21 win and a few years later, he named his son BO. Now THAT's being committed to the Vols.
Tennessee actually led 21-0 in that game before scoring our last touchdown.

Was at that 1974 Tennessee vs UCLA game when Condredge returned to the field (and stadium) after an injury... the screaming crowd and that touchdown dive will be in my mind forever.

However, not so fast my friends. My fav is the Sept '72 UT-Penn State game. The first night game at Neyland, the first time "we" saw Condredge play at Neyland and, little did "we" know, the first time my wife went on a date with the guy who would become her future husband... Thank you Condredge, Haskel Stanback, Jamie Rotella, Art Reynolds, and the rest for playing so tough and winning that game...

Had the score gone the other way I might have thought our date was bad karma and not asked her out again. I certainly wouldn't be telling this story and I would not have been with that girl for the last 46 years...

The 1st one we blocked and returned for the TD to end the half was even bigger.

I was making a joke about him blocking it with his HUGE butt. It was a huge block. But, I wasn't saying it was the biggest play of the game. Again, the reference of HUGE was a joke about his butt blocking the field goal attempt. How many times have you seen that happen???

Mine is sort of bitter sweet. I got to see my Vols play Georgia in Knoxville last year for the beating of a lifetime lol. Being a Vols fan since I could walk, I am used to seeing the dudes in orange drop a game every once in a while! It is my favorite memory as a Vols fan because I was going through a hard time from my mom passing that year and I was able to get out of town to take my mind off things and my uncle came with me who is a character. We spent most of the day before the game at the half barrel and had quite a bit to drink. We ended up out front heckling Georgia fans (politely) and greeting fellow Vols. I’ll never forget when my uncle saw two young kids walking with their parents and said “Thank your parents for taking you to the game today boys, you are going to witness history “ lmao! Sure enough they did! The worst beat down we have ever taken at home lol. I laugh about it all the time. I can’t wait to see what the future has to hold for Tennessee. Go Vols!

This is probably my best memory too. It was the first time I ever attended a game.
