What is your best memory as a Vols fan?

My best memories are listening to John Ward call games on the radio as we went about our usual Saturday chores. Seeing majors carried off the field by his pitt team knowing he was coming to Knoxville to coach. Watching tennessee play in the bluebonnet bowl on new years eve with streater, bates, gault, and puki (even though we lost). Players like harper and bates going on to play for the Cowboys. The 85 auburn game being in the student section, and on the field with 13 seconds left on the clock. Seeing torob play in person. Being there for the Florida game when the steps in the stadium looked like a waterfalls. Heath Shuler, Cobb, and Webb. So many memories.

Went to a lot of games in the early-mid 2000's. We lost every one one of them except for a snoozefest against Ole Miss.

I'll say watching the Vols on TV with my brother and dad during the 90's.

Tennessee vs LSU, 83 or 84. Can't remember. It was the Reggie White show!! The Minister of Defense completely and utterly destroyed The Tigers. It wasn't even fair. The nations best rushing team was held to 26 yards rushing. Dalton Hilliard and Greg James were completely shutdown. Reggie had 2 sacks, a fumble recovery and like 7 tackles for loss. Unbelievable!!! I was there.
#2 Watching Chuck Webb run all over Ole Miss, for 294 yards. Magical! I was there.

Vanderbilt game in 97 with my dad. I was 7. First game I ever attended and Manning’s last in Neyland.

Kentucky game in 98 with my dad, my best friend, and my best friend’s dad. Remember sitting in the nose bleeds under the V.O.L.S. sign. Was really cold.

I went to the USCe game in 2013 by myself. Only game I’ve ever attended alone. That was the year I got back into following the Vols closely. Had just moved closer to home after being away for college.

Ending the streak against UF in 2016 is right at the top. Attended with my wife.

Actually had a lot of fun at the Oklahoma game in ‘15 and the aTm game in ‘16. Obviously didn’t end the way we’d like.

I was a freshman in college and went to my girlfriend's uncle's house to watch the '85 Sugar Bowl game with her family. Her stepdad hated the Vols and wanted to bet me something on the game because I took him for $50 earlier in the season the Saturday when TN beat #1 Auburn....he was a Vandy fan and we had bets on both TN Vs Aub and Vandy vs Bama.... Bama scored a TD while running out the clock and then TN spanked Auburn...... $50 to me.I was in college and had no money to bet on the sugar bowl so he suggested we bet our pants for the ride home.... it was cold as hell....we all know TN put the beat down on Miami.... after the game I told him to "shuck 'em off"..... he had the nerve to tell me "you take 'em off".... thinking I'd chicken out and let him slide.... BS.... I said "get your ass down on the floor"...... I took the pants off his half drunk ass and made him drive home in his Fruit of the Looms..... no way he was getting out of that one.

Overall: My family dog piling in the living room when Tennessee beat FSU to win the National Championship!!

Live: Beating Florida in the swamp in 2003 (the James Banks halftime Hail Hary game). Fulmer threw his hat to us in the stands after being drenched in Gatorade.

Season:
'98 National Title
Not many college fans ever get to see their team win a national title. Consider that as good as Oklahoma has been, their fans haven't seen one since 2001. I feel luckier every year that we got to witness this.

Some favorite plays of both good, bad, mediocre seasons:
Manning play action keeper vs. Bama
Peerless long TD against FSU
Countless picks from Eric Berry, because you always thought he could house it.
Hardesty spin move against SC in black jerseys
Cordarelle has 2 or 3 plays that made me drop my jaw
Dobbs TD reception against Florida
Jennings UGA hail mary reception

1998 SECCG. Miss State houses a punt in the 4th qtr to take a 14-10 lead. We got a bomb to Peerless Price to take the lead back and then got a fumble. On the next play, if you were in the GA Dome and could see the entire field, you could see Cedric Wilson absolutely burn his man on a post corner route. If you listen at 39:50 on this video Tee Martin turns the ball loose on time and you can hear the crowd erupt because they know it's the kill shot and we're going to play for a national championship.

98 Ark game we had seats on west side 21 yd line. Their qb put the ball on the ground right in front of us. All they had to do was take time off the clock. And people were already leaving the stadium.
Forget the QBS name, but he got his revenge in 99.

old skewl = Richmond Flowers and the Vols taking down Bama and the Bear

back in the day = 1998 National Championship beating FSU

present day = Dobbnail Boot win over UGA, that still shuts them up when they start playing that Larry Munson hobbnail boot claptrap.

Buying my favorite sandwich from Sam and Andy's off the strip right before enjoying a Vanderbilt game. My buddy surprised me last minute with tickets and we drove up from Tullahoma. Around '81 or so. Ham on rye with swiss and mayo...steamed. Oh, man.

If you went to Sam & Andy's enough on the strip, ole George would have your favorite beer ready when you walked in.

At age 10 I walked out of school on friday afternoon expecting to walk home, and was surprised to see my mom and dad pull up to the curb in our 55 plymouth belvedere. Dad said, hop in were going to Knoxville and we're going to a UT game Saturday. I was stunned and thrilled. My dad had never taken us to a game before and never did again.
At Neyland Stadium on Saturday I bought an orange Tennessee pennant and was so proud to wave it throughout the game and all the way from the stadium to my uncle's house. UT lost that day to an undefeated Ole Miss team that was later the subject of an ESPN 30/30 episode. As I watched it 50 years later, when they showed a film clip of the UT game, a tear dropped from my eye as I remembered my now departed dad and the thrill he gave me that day, as well as the lifetime of vol fandom he inspired.

So many...
Id have to say Peerles Price game against FSU.
That performance was simply magical.
