What is your best memory as a Vols fan?

I was a young young man at the time.... but hearing my all time favorite John Ward say the " the national championship will be clad in orange" is my all time favorite.

We were so close for so many years and finally get to it......

That is for sure my favorite.

While mine is not a game, my best memory as a Vols fan is a memorable one. In 1996 I was living in College Square apartment complex in Knoxville. I was wirking graveyard at Fort Sanders hospital and was leaving for work. Going to my truck, there was Peyton Manning standing by his SUV. I got to talk to him. He even pulled out a football and we passed it to each other a few times. He was waiting on his girlfriend. I can actually say I have caught passes from the legendary Peyton Manning. If I would d have known, I would have asked him to autograph the football for me.

Bobby Majors punt returns.
My Dad took me to a basketball game at local FCHS where Bobby M was playing around 1968 or so. Not sure if he was home or visitor. I remember sitting at floor level and amazing at how big and fast Bobby was. There seemed to be two speeds in that game - both teams and then Bobby's speed. I remember being concerned about being trampled by him when he ran down the court. I'd never been around an athlete of that calibre.

Hot dog and ketchup......o_O I was at the 2001 game in Gainesville for the shocking win. As we were leaving the stadium the crowd was angry and we didn't help by showboating so one fan threw his/her hotdog at the back of my UT pullover and I remember how disgusted I was that some idiot was eating a hotdog with ketchup instead of mustard.
