What if JG & Tua Switched Teams?

You are basing everything on JG because he is playing with our garbage team.

Please just STOP showing everyone just how completely ignorant you are....and learn to actually watch film and evaluate a QB...

JG is absolutely the WORST starting QB the Vols have put on the field since AJ Suggs...and it's just that simple....
Dobbs was a better passing QB than JG...and that's saying something....Dobbs had more success because he was a great athlete who could actually run himself out of trouble...But he couldn't read defenses either.

There are thousands of guys out there with JG's arm......but it takes more than a better than average arm to actually be a SEC QB....

Hurts HAS IT....just ask yourself why it takes a QB like TUA to take the starting job away from Hurts....
TUA is gonna win the Heisman and it ain't gonna be close.

And you ignorantly are trying to say that JG is in their league... SMDH....

Dude you dont kmow how to evaluate a QB any better than I can. You can continue to think you know what you are talking about but you dont. Carry on.

Yeah good argument and a very appropriate and intelligent response.
Lol Ok i’ll Play... and maybe I should have used some blue font. You said “literally no one” would say kc needed to go in and we “literally” had posters saying Pruitt was worse than butch ( two nattys at two programs), he needed to be replaced after his teams arsewhupin by florida, et al all of which IMHO are much more outside the realm of unreasonable. Big orange mojo hit the nail on the head... and a little reality check is in order if u don’t think some of clueless posters here would be calling for changes after and interception. Been around long enough here to see the ridiculous assertions of some so get some popcorn and be amazed by the crazy that 10 years of suckage has brought. And don’t say literally no one would... otherwise D4H will beat u senseless with it.;)

And I totally read your response wrong. I thought you were calling me stupid for posting about the implied assumption that most of us would think Tua would not go unappreciated. You said don’t underestimate us fans and I agree 100 percent 😁. My apologies.

Well....at least I KNOW that Jalen Hurts is good enough to require a HEISMAN TROPHY WINNER to replace him.....

Here endeth the lesson!

Lol. Last year Tua showed way before the NC game that he was just flat out better than Hurts. Then the NC game reinforced that. The only thing you "taught" was how to voice your opinion and think you know what you are talking about.

Well we'll just have to agree to disagree. I will say this.. he is better than he was last year but I don't think he will be the QB next year.

Maybe he wont. It could be Shrout next year. It seems the coaches see what the fans dont is the only thing I know.

No worries man ... I have been on vn for over 10 years and although I don’t post much I have read posts and thought nobody is that oblivious to say something like .... and I want to ask if they are serious but then they double down and I just shake my head.

And hopefully we get some good recruits. We'll see. But one thing's for sure it has to be better than this year.... hope I didn't just jinx it.

You don’t think with Tua we would not have scored just a few more points to win?? I sure as hell do.

Why? Because you see what he has done at Bama? Again, look at what he has around him. We dont have a single player, NOT ONE that would even crack Bamas 2 deep. Bama has made even below average QBs look like rock stars. Hell, Blake Simms, a RB played QB for them and lit the SEC up.

I agree with you on all points here. At the end of the day, I just want the best guy out there playing QB. Hopefully we get some better OL play. Sheesh.

Here's something to consider... Linemen in the pros make a fraction of what a QB does. If you could build a line that any QB could play behind then why would you pay big bucks for a QB when paying for a better offensive line would same you millions?

Tua would still only play one half of each game due to injuries. He would throw screen passes so much that he could toss them blindfolded.

Wouldn't the better question be what if Alabama and Tennessee switched Offensive Lines?

JG, Chandler, Jennings and Calloway would be in Heisman conversations.

Tua would be either dead or incapacitated with our O line.

JG would be playing for a NC game because Saban's system is just that good.

There are four types of QB.

Type 1. The pure all pro pocket passer: The rare breed like Peyton and Brady belong to this category. Sadly this a dying breed!

Type 2. The all star college QB: This category is for guys like Cam and Tebow. The majority of this types abilities won't always translate to a successful NFL career.

Tua falls between the first two types.

Type 3. The good college QB with intangibles: This category is for the Wilson's, Watson's and Dobbs. These are guys who are drafted in the mid rounds and in some cases will go on to have a successful NFL career.

Type 4. The serviceable to bad college QB: This is the category for the majority of college QBs. this category is made for guys like Guarantano and Hurts. Good thing with the college game, If you can field a team with other really talented position players, the serviceable QBs can elevate their play.

Honestly, if they switched team, JG wouldn't be starting at Bama. Tua is mobile enough to make plays and extend drives when our pass protection breaks down. He'd be really, really tired right now, but he'd do well.

Nah, he can't take a hit like our guys. He would have to wear one of those padded suits for training police dogs to survive a season here.
